alberttky 0 Report post Posted June 4, 2011 SINGAPORE: A Qantas jumbo jet was forced to return to Singapore early Saturday when its wheels failed to retract after take-off, the airline said. "Shortly after take-off the crew on Qantas flight (QF) 52 from Singapore to Brisbane noticed that the aircraft's undercarriage would not retract," a Qantas spokeswoman told AFP. "The aircraft returned to Singapore airport and landed safely at 12:03am local time (1603 GMT Friday)." The Boeing 747-400 had left Singapore's Changi Airport less than an hour before it was forced to return, a spokesman for the airport told AFP. No one was injured. http://www.channelnewsasia.com/stories/afp_singapore/view/1133193/1/.html

KC Sim 2 Report post Posted June 4, 2011 (edited) Its Qantas with Changi, Qantas with Bangkok, Qantas and Batam, Qantas and Manila, Qantas and Rolls Royce, Qantas and undercarriage, Qantas and rats, Qantas and sudden loss of altitude ... you see the pattern? Qantas is the common denominator everywhere. In essence, it has in recent years been a love affair between Qantas and "incidents". Sure, one could say that the media is on Qantas' back but one must surely recognise that Qantas is having an unusually frequent encounter with incidents and is therefore frequently "fried" by the world's and Australian media - you could say there is no smoke without fire. Cheng Long 0 Report post Posted June 6, 2011 SIA Engineering services Qantas in Changi? Singapore is very advanced. Some can even argue better than Australia. Naturally people don't tend to say bad things about them. In contrast to weaker ones, they can be made scapegoat of anything.
