as well as brain and lung injuries

by a new acting general manager

- Henan Airlines cancelled all flights for safety reviews

for minimum three days

- Tianjin Airlines continues operations with a fleet of 25 E190s

- Yichun Airport reopened on Thursday afternoon (2010-08-26)

--------------------------------------------------------

Henan Airlines, an all-Embraer E190 operator, has suspended all of its operation on Wednesday 25AUG10.

The decision is followed by the crash at Yichun City in China’s Heilongjiang Province on late Tuesday (24AUG10) night. VD8387, Harbin to Yichun City, crashed during approach. The airline has grounded its remaining 4 E190 till further notice. The crash is the first major hull-loss of Embraer 170/175/190/195 family.

It bears the same logo as Shenzhen Airlines. Heard it is owned by Shenzhen airlines too.

If i'm not mistaken,Shenzhen Airlines is the parent company of Henan Airlines,as they held 51% of the company shares;that's why their remaining Embraers is painted with ZH livery. So far their remaining fleet are 3 E-190s,while their ACAC ARJ-21-700 jets is yet to be built (since their ordered 100 ARJ-21s).

Check out Henan Airlines website (It's in Mandarin) regarding the incident:

Perhaps anyone could translate it? I've tried using Google Translate, but the outcome isn't satisfied.

Newly-wed for only 198days...F/A (wife) and Purser chief (husband) both served and died on that flight. TV reported that when rescuers found their bodies...her body was wrapped underneath his body because he used his body to shield her from the flames so that her body is intact.
