flee 5 Report post Posted July 22, 2010 What a big difference from the old and amateurish one! Good job! From http://airlineroute.net/2010/06/14/y6-jun10/: Indonesian carrier Batavia Air’s IATA code since 01JUN10 has switched from 7P to Y6.However, service to Singapore currently still uses 7P-coded flight numbers. Tamizi Hj Tamby 1 Report post Posted July 22, 2010 Thanks for the info,Flee; Hope they will repaint their fleet as quickly as possible. Are they sending A320 only or mixed equipment to SIN?
Radzi 2 Report post Posted July 22, 2010 Indonesian carrier Batavia Air’s IATA code since 01JUN10 has switched from 7P to Y6. 1. Why? 2. By whom? By the airline or by IATA / ICAO / any other authority? 3. What difference does it makes? Anyway, it is a permanent livery change or just a one-off?
Ignatius 4 Report post Posted July 22, 2010 If it is a one off livery, that makes it SPECIAL livery hehehehe
Mohd Azizul Ramli 2 Report post Posted July 31, 2010 Regarding Y8, they have just opened up their ticketing office in downtown Jeddah (walking distance from my home actually), in preparation for their Middle East operation. Y8 will be the 3rd Indonesian airlines operating in JED after GA and Lion Air. Y8 listed JED and RUH (Riyadh) as their destinations in Saudi Arabia and these 2 destinations will be served by the airlines' LCC-styled A332 aircrafts.
