S V Choong 4 Report post Posted January 21, 2006 19 Nov 2005 9V-SPJ park at Gate 2 of NZAA 9V-SPJ close up. Can anyone tell me what the heck are those two humps above this 744? Looks like Navigational equipment but the appareance looks like a turret. ZK-OJC, Airbus A320-232 ZK-PBD Pacific Blue's 738 with winglets. HS-TNB Thai A346 at background. Hmm.. I am starting to like their purple livery. 14 Jan 2006 Went spotting with S Chang today. Had lots of fun listening to the wake turbulence generated by the passing 737s. 9M-MPK Johor Bahru taxiing to runway for take-off back to KUL on a 10 hours flight. 9V-SPJ arriving from SIN. A6-EMX, not a 777-300/ER today, back luck... , arriving from Dubai via South East Asia and Australia. A6-ERC, the A345 is back to AKL from a brief period of absence (replaced by 777-300ER). The A345 just arrived from Australia and Dubai. DQ-FJL, this Fiji based Air Pacific Boeing 744 was a former aircraft of SQ, hence a Boeing 747-412. Air Pacific has yet another ex SQ 744 rego DQ-FJK. HL7482, Korean 744 arriving from Seoul Incheon airport. Asiana has already stopped flying into AKL, so Korean Air can enjoy the monopoly of AKL-ICN route. HS-TNA, Thai A346, very nice livery. Wonder when their A345 will arrive. Anyone? The A346 flies direct to BKK from AKL now. The Thai 744 still flies the BKK-SYD-AKL route, replacing the MD-11s An Air NZ 744 taxiing out to runway for take off. This is a 747-419 powered by RR. Air NZ has also a number of GE powered 744 which was supposed to be delievered to Philippine Airlines during the Asian Economic Crisis. PAL did not enough funds back then and was taken up by Air NZ. The GE powered 744 still bears PAL's customer code, hence Boeing 747-4F6. PK-GPE, Garuda Airbus A333 from Jakarta. Powered by RR.

S V Choong 4 Report post Posted January 21, 2006 Actually S Chang has better shots as he owns a Canon 350D. Mine is just an ordinary amateur Sony camera Many thanks for the AKL spotting MAP, Denny. Some locations are restricted and we were not sure if we can get into it....looks hard. Thanks though!
