The replacement is imminent. Referring to Canon 20Da (a = astronomy)? This was launched Feb/Mar 2005 for Japanese market only. Until end 2005, Canon Japan did not give any hint about release date and price for non-Jp market. However, Konica Minolta will cease its photography business. Sony will take over. Sad news. After this, Konica Minolta will be more of photostat business! Don't know why it's different though... 20Da retained most of 20D features such as 8.2MP, 9point focus, body-construction and menu. The main difference is in the "IR cut-off function" called "H-alpha". Canon engineers say this will allow capturing of "true" color of an object. New set of camera every 6 months...i even cannot appreciate of what i have in my hand... One thing i like about canon...1ds Mark2... one RAW photo 50mb...thats a pure real photo...i think! Met a friend who has one...super. After i met Azman twice in ZRH...i find that 350D is a neat camera. Small, light and powerful. Since i carry my camera on every flight...i need a light and easy in my Nav Bag!! D70 for rent, couple with Sigma 70-200mm f2.8... bring your own CF card!!
