Day Two... and am I glad I skipped WSSS and started 1 day early in KL... Bangla time ("Bhangra" in Indian is a punjabi fast rytham dance )... DC10 weaving thru the heavies! Thanks guys... for warm welcome, I can't believe, I will be there in less than 2 weeks! It will be a great change as wx is getting (shall we say) rather cold. I live up in the forrest/mountainous area of Connecticut and the early morning temps are already at 30-35' F Seth, I arrive on Thursday 9th at about 9pm and will be at the Pan Pacific Airport. So my first day spotting will be Friday See you then.

Some questions for the forum members.... I have changed my routing and now will be in KL Nov 9th evening onwards for about 6-7 days. 1) How is Penang spotting? (I did see a thread with some nice photos). I am looking for current spotting info. Will be ok to take photos / spot there (I do not carry radio or video... just my camera gears 2) Do MH or Air Asia offer walk up fares for KL-Penang for 1 day? Was thinking to make a side trip and visit and spot one or two days. 3) If decide to stay for overnight, any nice hotels near to the airport? Thanks for info in advance, Raj

KHOR.... those are some awesome shots.... special livery rocks. "Shamrock" always landed on the NORTH side ( 24R) however on this day, due to separation, she was assigned the South side (25L) and the rest as they say is CLICK, CLICK, CLICK....

Heres few for the 340 enthusiasts.... ATC (Kennedy Departure): "Springbok Two-Oh-Two radar contact passing Twelve hundred for SIX thousand, climb and maintain ONE-ONE thousand DIRECT WEAVY. Advise traffic is a Speedbird Triple-Seven 8 miles at your one o-clock and heading Two-Niner-Zero at 3000 on CANARASI Approach. (PS: before SQ's KEWR-WSSS run this use to be the longest route) South African showing the fine lines as she departs in the evening for flight to J'berg. China Eastern descending on the tensil town... on a clear day with the HOLLYWOOD sign in back. AC's STAR ALLIANCE coming back to nest! Landing at Pearson's Rwy 05.

Oh thats over 160000 in km! Now I feel even more tired before getting onboard the flight! Sorry cannot help tomorrow however FEDEX has promised me that they will be able to transport small weather systems in the cargo haul of A380 once it joins the fleet All the best for 10/19. Will be looking for some posts.

Give or take few miles or minutes.... my commute will be over 10,000 miles and over 20 FLYING hours just to spot and get the the Malaysian aviation scene ! So as Chaity says.... haze better be dissipating soon. (tho my first day spotting in not till Nov 12th). However after Japan 2004 trip now I keep a good supply of Prozac and Valium to calm me down if its hazy or rainy as we were unfortunate to run into typhoon there and had 4 days of nothing but rain NOTE to self: "pack some nice sunny Canadian/US blue skies for the local WMKK spotters"
