  5. Launched in 1969, the Concorde was the world's first supersonic civil transport. Due to the high development costs, the governments of Great Britain and France agreed to share the costs and develop a single airframe for the aviation industries of both nations. Operators were the flag carriers of both nations: British Airways and Air France. Designed primarily for trans Atlantic operations, the Concorde features a complex delta wing, engine pods mounted under the wing, slender fuselage and variable-geometry nose. The variable-geometry nose is lowered during ground operations, takeoff and landing to improve visibility. The Concorde's first supersonic flight was on October 1, 1969. Revenue services began on January 21, 1976 and the Concorde's last revenue flight was on October 24, 2003. Final ferry flight of a Concorde was on November 26, 2003, delivering G-BOAF to Airbus' Filton facilities. 6. As the World Cup 2006 heads Germany’s way next year, the temperatures of soccer fans are nearing fever pitch. Reason enough for Lufthansa to kick off football year 2006 today by launching its first Airbus with a "football nose" onto a heavenly pitch. Painted in black and white, the nose-tip of the Lufthansa Airbus A340-300 automatically has all the semblance of a football above the clouds. And the message it heralds to soccer fans around the world from all at Lufthansa is "Welcome to Germany". "Germany is again hosting the World Cup for the first time in 32 years. Fans the world over will be coming to Germany to support their national teams playing at soccer stadiums around the country. The Lufthansa aircraft with the football nose will act as football’s ambassadors inviting all to enjoy their stay here," said Lufthansa Executive Vice President Marketing and Sales Thierry Antinori. The first A340-300 with the football nose operates on all long-haul routes in the Lufthansa global network. About 30 other aircraft of different types in the Lufthansa fleet will have their nose similarly painted in the next few weeks prior to resuming scheduled flights to destinations within Germany and the rest of Europe. The maiden flight of the freshly painted Airbus takes off tonight on a trip to Tokyo. The first guests on board are players in the FC Bayern Munich squad, who are heading to Japan to play two friendship games and take part in diverse PR events over the next four days. source:http://konzern.lufthansa.com/en/html/press.../07/490/HOM&s=0 Don't think we can see her here as Lufthansa switch the equipment from A343 to A346.
  7. I believe the concorde is to expensive to mantain and too noisy at the same time.
  8. you know the helipad near to the palm plantation... we were driving into the palm plantation but at the same time a police car passed by... too bad
  9. not at this moment... will notify you when there is You like their B767? It's a pity we cannot get any of JAL rotation shot as all of them depart at night
  10. we do get JAL B767 arriving at night... it is from Osaka via Singapore. At this moment the NRT to KUL is served either by B744 or B773ER... enjoy it before they switch to B767
  11. The KUL to SIN sector is served by B767 only. So far the JAL B773ER only flies between NRT and KUL occasionally Cities served by JAL B773ER from Narita are Singapore, Shanghai, Beijing and Kuala Lumpur. I believe from next season onward they will add London and Paris into the chart so we might not see JAL B773ER in KUL as often as it is now
  12. interesting... too bad will be working at that time. Maybe TK can go and get them
  13. Don't think the A380 will come to LIMA 05. I think they will be going to Singapore Air Show Feb 06. Maybe after the airshow they will drop by Malaysia?
  14. we were thinking of going into the palm plantation for rotation shot... but was stopped but policeman... well bad luck. Maybe next time

  19. Scheduled early of 2007 but i think it will be delayed to the middle or the end of 2007
  20. Tony Fernandes of Air Asia led off the winners at this year's presitgous Airline Strategy Awards, held on 17th July 2005 before a select audience of senior industry executives. source:http://www.strategyawards.com/winners_2005.html I think there will be another special livery plane for them
  21. A380 service-entry delayed Airbus A380 launch operator Singapore Airlines (SIA) is warning that it could miss its 2006 entry-into-service target for the ultra-large airliner as a result of a major new delay to the delivery schedule. The manufacturer has warned early A380 operators, including Air France, Emirates, Qantas and SIA, that deliveries will be delayed by up to six months, and is now in formal negotiations about revised schedules. SIA – which has adopted the slogan "First to fly A380 in 2006" – had originally expected to receive its inaugural A380 by next March and put it into service during the following quarter. Recent delays have already slipped the service-entry target to October. SIA chief executive Chew Choon Seng told Flight International at a Star Alliance event in Kyoto, Japan last week that this will be delayed further, and first delivery is now not likely until October next year, adding: "We think we have a fair chance of getting it into service before 31 December 2006." He said discussions have been ongoing with Airbus on a compensation package. Emirates and Qantas are next in line for A380 deliveries – now October 2006 – and both confirm they are expecting delays. Qantas is looking at six months, while Emirates has not been advised yet of its new schedule. Air France, which was due to put the A380 into service in April 2007, is also discussing a rescheduling. Source:Flight International I think most of the airlines would not be happy with that especially SIA. So i bet MAS A380 will be delayed.
  22. TK one: http://www.manfrotto.com/product/templates...d=82&itemid=693 Good quality and really light Go for it if you have a deep pocket
  23. I will get myself the 70-210mm old Nikkor lense plus the Bigma 50-500mm lense. Although the 70-210mm is a really sharp lense, but sooner or later you will want the reach for the longer range. I think Azahan had showed us how to get the best from the 50-500mm.... i am still getting quite a number of blurred shots from my 100-300mm lense. He has really stable hands. If you have a deep pocket, go for 70-200mm AFS VR. Superb quality For me i am happy with my 70-210mm and 100-300mm lense. Maybe later i might add a 80-200mm F2.8(second hand one) Flash go for SB800, around RM1200 when i checked the price months ago Cheers
  24. brand new around RM3500... second hand might be around RM2500++ region
  25. I like the triple shot. Nice one!
