I think if MAS seriously want to make the A380 an exclusive aircraft from the rest of its fleets, 3 of the A380 should be painted in the 'Freedom of space' colour and remainder 3 of the A380 in 'Hisbiscus'. Now that's what I call exclusive and would be the best A380 livery in the world, MAS first!!! Or 2 x A380 = Freedom of space 2 x A380 = Hisbiscus 2 x A380 = Oneworld livery Anyway, who am I kidding, but that would attract world attention on Malaysia's best!

I've booked a return trip to KUL mainly due to the A380 on their inauharal flight but have since cancelled and rebooked with SIA. Have being a loyal fan of MAS for so many years but being played by them from time to time, had enough. Don't get me wrong, I was excited hence purposely book the first trip. Very dissapointed. Kangaroo as MAS said is one of their most profitable routes yet for almost a small difference why would I want to fly their dated B744 or B772ER, also SIA is cheaper by $212. Downside stopover at Changi! But hey, more take-offs and landings for me yay!

How come few flights from China ended like this (well not exactly) but you know what I mean like British Airways B772ER... Hhmmmm.

I sent a query to MAS re logo alignment and here's their response: . Dear Eugene, The tailfin logo on the A380 aircraft is painted according to engineering technical drawing with actual aircraft specifications, whereas, rendering is based on artist impression drawing. Hence, minor discrepancy on dimensions / angle is common. Hope that clarifies and we look forward to your boarding on one of our A380s in time to come. AirAsia X has landed. Yupe, I went and saw the landing as well as take off. As a Malaysian, felt proud to see two airlines of Malaysia in Sydney. I was hoping they sent a special scheme over (the one with NOW EVERYONE CAN FLY TO MALAYSIA) but instead the standard livry reg: 9M-XXG. Question: SInce today it's their first flight into Sydney, do they place a return crew in Sydney a day or two before OR 2 sets of crews, one on arrival and the other back to home base. Can someone please shed some light how this works? Oh, before I left.. MAS A332F landed. What a treat!

If this is true and has a resemblance of Heliconia, and once all aircrafts painted... it will attract worldwide attention.. for spotters anyway And this will put MAS in the spotlight like both the B777 Heliconia and B747 Hisbiscus did. I know for a fact I was excited when I saw MAS flew these two to Sydney years back.. Having said this, hope it turns out awesome.

Maybe Tim Clark should be made an offer he can't refuse to turn around MAS!!

What sort of aircraft do they own or operate?

Hi, This morning, I went to Sydney Int'l to pick up my sister arriving from Malaysia and I noticed this BA B772ER reg: G-YMMI that parked next to it's big sister B744 G-BNLI (Oneworld livery). Question is, sometime back in April this year I saw the same B772ER with it's left inner engine cowling unpainted due to whatever the reason is... and today, it's still unpainted. Why this long?? Also, MAS B744 suppose to arrive at 9.33am but instead at 9.07am, talking about punctuality. Great on you MAS! FYI, it's been a while since I last visited Kingsford Smith and today was a treat... saw 2 Air China A332s, 2 Garuda A332/333, 2 Emirates B773ER/A388, 2 Cathay Pacific A333s, 2 Thai A346s, 2 United B744s, 2 V Australia B773ERs (one is newly painted to Virgin Australia).. Sydney must be doing well!!

How come FedEX don't fly to KLIA anymore, they used to!

If MAS paints it A380 in 'Freedom of Space' colour, it will surely attracts attn worldwide, and not to mentioned the world biggest and greatest looking plane!

For an internationally renowned airline, their offshoot sure sounds dodgy!

That's what I thought Oneworld member would do ie; CX sending in at least B744 or B773ER on one of their three daily flights but nope, still A333.

Wonder if MAS/AK will increase their flights into Australia with immediate effect to assist with stranded passengers?

Only wish they had more colour or cheat lines to their A332F!! Imagine on a B744s when repainted, ugly birdie hehe

Excited with the delivery of MAS 1st A332F but could have a better livery than the boring all white!

Any idea why their first few international routes are to Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore and Bangkok. Why KL is not one of them, is it because AirAsia already flying that route?
