  1. Row 12 is not bad. I usually take 12A or 12C when row 11 is unavailable.

Sadly so. As I work during the weekdays. More like I don't have a choice.

Rehearsing for the rumoured 'fly by' perhaps ? Sadly I will have classes to attend 9-5. Sigh....
  4. How did you managed to find that page on the website ? Didn't see it at all when I dropped by this afternoon.

I'm in Melbourne. So are a few other MWingers.
  6. Hoho...don't give them ideas. They may well install coin slots where you'll have to insert coins to gain entry to the toilets.
  7. Is that what you have in mind ? Another place to consider for accommodation is YHA. There are 2-3 YHAs in Melbourne with at least one of them just on the edge of the city and I don't think they are too expensive but definitely not as cheap as Dewan Malaysia though it is much more strategically located than Dewan Malaysia.
  8. I meant for the non-sale fares. Tried booking for mid-April and it doesn't seem to allow me to.
  9. It is very obvious that it is direct competition. Only Brisbane and Perth and nowhere else in Australia. Can't seem to be able to book it though.

Pretty smart spin on things. Will we see them selling carbon offsets soon ?
  11. Initially there was Guilin as well but was removed a few days later.
  12. Yes. Because it was a mixed class award redemption. EYCL for the KUL bound flight and GCCL for the ADL bound flight. Just wondering, can we actually make a single redemption for say MEL - KUL - PEN or would it be considered as two separate award redemption MEL - KUL and KUL - PEN respectively ?
  13. If I knew that such offers would pop up I would have waited till now to redeem an award ticket. Burnt 60000 miles for ADL - KUL (EYCL) and KUL - ADL (GCCL) earlier this year.
  14. Tell me about it. I have been providing the cabin crews with my Enrich number each time I make Temptations purchases onboard and for all purchases since July 2006, I have not been getting any points credited to my account. And that is despite the numerous emails that I have sent to enrich@mas.com.my and I haven't been getting a single reply from them.
  15. Have already been inducted as a fan of Fidani Chocolates since they started being available for sale via Temptations. Love them. Are they being sold overseas as well at the moment ?
  16. Another possibility is to fly from SYD to AKL with Aerolineas Argentinas. Their one-way fares are usually around the A$ 230 mark all inclusive.
  17. I think they are probably referring to just the KUL - SIN route. Which makes sense as AirAsia flies twice daily each way while both Tiger Airways and Jetstar Asia has only one flight a day each way.
  18. Sounds about right. I paid A$ 340 for my Enrich redemption flights. 31/1/2008 MH 138 EYCL ADL - KUL 11/2/2008 MH 139 GCCL KUL - ADL And I had to pay the US$ 20 fee for changing my ADL bound flight from the 9/2/2008 to 11/2/2008
  19. Priceless. I nearly fell off the chair laughing as I read through the last bit. Good thing I read it at home and not at work. Why is it just blueberries all the time though ? Is that his only forte ?
  20. Just to add on to the point above. Taeco in Xiamen is doing pretty well in aircraft MRO. Saw quite a few aicrafts from several foreign airlines parked outside their hangars. Could recall seeing Korean Air and Japan Airlines when I was in Xiamen a few months ago. http://www.taeco.com/customers.asp A browse through the customers section of their website would show the airlines that send their aircrafts over to them for line maintenance, heavy maintenance and even aircraft conversion. Ýou'd be surprised to know that the list included MAS as well. Not sure how updated is the listing though.
  21. Haven't looked at the complete financial statements of MAS before. So I won't be able to comment on that. Perhaps someone else in Audit that have done so could make comments. And yes, it is Ernst and Young and not Erns and Young. I work with their staunch competitor.
