I wonder why D7 is not going to DWC, with so many visitors from UAE and now EK monopolizes the route between Dubai and KL. DWC is in between Dubai and Abu Dhabi so it is well located to tap visitors from both cities.

GEORGE TOWN: The Federal Government should hasten plans to upgrade the Penang International Airport (PIA) as it is nearly bursting at its seams, Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng said today. He said according to a written reply by Transport Minister Liow Tiong Lai in Parliament today, the airport would most likely be upgraded only in 2022. Lim said this meant the ministry would only apply for funds for the upgrading next year in the second rolling plan of the Eleventh Malaysia Plan (2016-2020). “Even if the application for the airport upgrade is made next year, the expansion works will take at least three years. “That means it will be ready by 2021 or 2022. “With 6.26 million passengers currently, inching in towards its maximum (capacity of) 6.5 million passengers per year, the passenger traffic would be at a critical level,” he said in a statement here today. http://www.freemalaysiatoday.com/category/nation/2016/04/07/guan-eng-penang-airport-bursting-at-its-seams/

It's a Malaysian culture. And it's not only planes. Buildings too. They look splendid during opening, but rotten after a few years.

Any AirAsia pilots here please enlighten me. Does AirAsia's SOP on pre-departure walkaround not include a visual inspection of the wings? I was in Langkawi yesterday and the AK flight from LGK to PEN was delayed by an hour due to weather out of PEN. So I'm trying to figure out whether for flights that are already late, pilots can abbreviate their walkaround?

An Umno delegate wants Malaysia Airlines (MAS) stewardesses to cover up. Mr Ahmad Darus, a delegate from Penang, claimed the uniforms are "too revealing" and offered sewing services to cover them up, liberal news portal Malaysiakini reported. Mr Ahmad, who was debating on religion and education at the Umno general assembly yesterday, said: "I think many of the Wanita chiefs at our party branches are tailors. "If (MAS) does not have money (to sew up the uniforms), then send them to the branch Wanita chiefs, they can help sew them up." - See more at: http://www.tnp.sg/news/world-news/lets-sew-revealing-mas-uniforms?utm_campaign=Echobox&utm_medium=Social&utm_source=Facebook#sthash.iAsl7rL9.dpuf
