  1. Most people have banned Airasia Group or LCCT operating flights due to poor condition of the airport there.
  2. Malaysian Govt has already proposed to Singapore Govt to build an extension of SIN airport in Johor to serve the regional routes and SIN Changi shall serve long haul routes as in the near future, SIN may not be able to expand as quickly as the other airports due to its scarce land. Perhaps till then....
  3. Didn't TF propose to build a LCCT in KCH? But was scraped so he got passed off then talking gibberish?
  4. It's definitely politics, might be pressuring the KCH to provide cheaper airport taxes!
  5. not sure how does that apply as both KCH and MYY are managed by MAHB.
  6. AK has opened KCH-LGK route. I wonder if MYY would be the new hub as AK has also opened MYY-PEN and MYY-TGG route.
  7. How much did you book? I checked on cheap flights dot com and cheapest is CZ on 3k++
  8. I don't think USA would grant free visa to Malaysia in anytime soon. So far only a handful of nations can enter USA for free, literally all the first world nations, like our neighbour Singapore, even allegedly claimed as a spy on Malaysia, assisting USA. I think QR is the best and the cheapest, you could get the flight at 3K++ all in return.
  9. I don't think MH would ever do well in USA routes, at least not now. How does SQ did on their SIN - NRT - LAX route with A380? SQ has already axed the non-stop SIN - EWR route.
  10. Interesting... => http://www.theborneopost.com/2014/01/20/manila-to-kuching-route-in-the-works-says-airasias-yabut/#ixzz2qvqagIez
  11. Noticing that HY will commence operation to Singapore on 4th April 2014, with a stopover in KUL?
  12. I wonder what is it KBR has to offer. AK is now offering KCH - KBR as well, 3x daily.
  13. What do you guys mean by gloomy feel? Ain't that making the airport best to sleep in?
  14. KUL - YVR http://www.malaysiaairlines.com/hq/en/corporate-info/press-room/2013/malaysia-airlines-flies-to-vancouver-by-code-sharing-with-japan-airlines.html KUL - ADD http://www.malaysiaairlines.com/hq/en/corporate-info/press-room/2013/it-is-time-for-africa.html
  15. http://airlineroute.net/2014/01/02/tk-kul-s14/ TK has proven their successful operation in KUL by introducing daily flight to KUL on 28th April 2014 onwards. Even MH still not doing daily flight on this route right?
  16. Someone posted Swiss Air would fly to KUL by 15th Jun 2014 in wikipedia. No source but if it's real, that's a good news.
  17. Some midnight or odd hours flight might be beneficial. It's usually offering lower prices than flights operated out of KLIA at peak hours. I think the one doing for Phuket has been quite okay? Departing from KUL at 4AM, last I check during the promo, it cost not more than 300 for a full fare return to HKT by MH.
  18. Those are long haul routes, and it's only reasonable to use A330, the latest airbus. Though not sure if A330 can serve to AKL.
  19. AKL and BNE?? Unprofitable? Something must be wrong.... wrong aircraft deployed?
  20. 3158 MYR all in is very cheap!
  21. I tend to agree... a single largest terminal like BKK is not good at all. Can't imagine a flight delay becoz a passenger was shopping at the very last end and forgetting about the boarding and the gate was at the other last end...
