  1. Only Orange Juice, Apple Juice on the trolley. no other drinks at all. I asked for soft drinks like diet coke... the stewardess nodded but never returned to me with drinks... and i couldn't bother and fall asleep till the flight landed. They did serve meal. but just limited choices of drinks with only juices and coffee.
  2. Blanket is usually given and placed on the seats for international flights, especially for 4 hours. I was on CX and they don't even serve soft drinks, beers or red wine anymore... so much so of flying Airlines of the year.
  3. Are you on domestic or international?
  4. Well, hope we can get back to the topic on BA returning to KUL rather comparing the lounges. Anyway, anyone hearing any expansion plan of BA in KUL? Hope with such plan of BA, MH and BA could work closely and initiate codeshare agreement.
  5. Would BA change the tagging to SYD from KUL instead of SIN? I guess if they would choose KUL as their transit point. Most importantly MH is the OW partner.
  6. British Airways resumes KL-London direct flights The Star Online-3 hours ago KUALA LUMPUR: After a hiatus of more than a decade, British Airways will resume direct daily from Kuala Lumpur to London from May 27, ... From Google... but when click the link, 404 not found???
  7. May be MH could try to work out with LH to complement each others on the KUL - FRA route.
  8. I tried to find on the US trip at cheap fare but couldn't find one on EY.
  9. Indeed. I think early this year or last year, EY launched promo fare to US with flight from KUL to ORD as low as 1.9K MYR return only!
  10. Got mine on MH at 2.6K return all in on KUL-LHR & CDG-KUL for next year My travel. Just pray the flights would remain till next year.
  11. I found out that there are many airlines have already launched WiFi on board, AA, SQ, JL, LH, etc... wondering why not Malaysia based airlines. Was checking around the offers on those airlines' websites and didn't notice any quota imposed.
  12. Ermm.. are you sure? QR joined OW in Oct 2013 but only signed codeshare deal with CX on Mar 2014. Hmm.. http://web.archive.org/web/20140529161537/http://www.arabianbusiness.com/qatar-airways-signs-code-share-deal-with-cathay-pacific-547169.html
  13. Interesting. Can you name any airlines have had pre-engaged with the existing members of alliance and once official announcement was made, the codeshare and partnership are immediately kicked in?
  14. Not saying MH is the best, but one of the best. Come on guys, let's get this right. At this juncture, are we are trying to criticise MH or throwing ideas to make it a better airlines?
  15. I'm not sure if MH or any other airlines could have already integrated their flight schedules into the system or discussed and concluded the alliance and codeshare with the respective alliance's members of airlines before officially announcing the joining of alliance. If it's so, MH and QF would have already formed extensive alliance for QF was the one who sponsored MH to join OW. Obvious awards are of course given by Skytrax and for your info, I don't think Skytrax are giving awards to any airlines that could fly to most destinations than any other airlines. More importantly, i think the debate in this thread is about MH's offerings, products and services, not the business strategy where the word of "fantastic" was being quoted or any other positive or negative words we choose to describe on MH here.
  16. I think the earlier argument here was MH deploying narrow body aircraft like B738 to the regional routes, even as far as Taipei which requires flying time more than 4 hours. As for the food, the domestic sector is really quite bad nowadays due to cost cutting and could deteriorate further. As for international, I'm not sure. However, I don't think it would be fair if we were to compare the food and drinks offered by MH, especially on the domestic sector, with SQ's and CX's where both these airlines are totally flying international routes.
  17. What we are trying to debate here is about the employees cut.
  18. AA's WiFi onboard, very affordable packages. http://www.aa.com/i18n/urls/entertainmentOnDemand.jsp?anchorLocation=DirectURL&title=wifi#wi-fi
  19. Only those few times before were not in the situation with twin disaster claiming over 500 lives at once, such factor would be a very strong driving motivation.
  20. Like which you mentioned? MH joined OW last year, if you were to compare those airlines that have joined OW much longer than MH, it won't be fair. MH is a fantastic and respectable airlines that have had won numerous awards, the best or not the best, performance may have been yo yo for the past few years but still, one of the best airlines. Not sure about the market share in the premium yield but rather even not sure if that's the kind of market that MH wanted to pursue vehemently rather than hitting the niche and right market to boost the revenue and profit. I guess the only way to know is if the load factor has increased or more flights cancellation ever since the higher frequencies amended, higher frequencies have been amended on some of the important domestic routes such as KCH and BKI, regional routes like BKK, CGK, and definitely the Australian destinations, especially after more new fleets of B738 and A330 joining the family. Else we won't want the new planes coming here and idling and sleeping in KUL tarmac. After all, ain't it a healthy competition after all?
  21. http://www.thestar.com.my/News/Nation/2014/08/30/AirAsia-kicks-off-free-trial-of-inflight-WiFi-service/ 1mb quota???
  22. CX flies to 112 destinations and they got like 30k staffs while EK flies to 142 destinations and they got like 50k staffs.
  23. I think Silk Air has less than 1.5k employees.
