Was reading on A.net, they were actually waiting for the authorities to get the runway ready for their emergency landing. So they might've been trying to stay close to the airport (Not sure how close is the airport to the city of Warsaw though).

That explains everything. Saw it flying over my house and then I caught it on flightradar24. I thought it was for maintenance or a test flight. Thanks for the info!

No signs of jets or anything special apart from the usual suspects from my place which is almost directly below the flight path for RWY 15 takeoffs.

Really sad to see this happening to FY. I hope the crew will be transferred to the new airline under Project Sapphire. You have a point there. But I think the KUL-BKI-KUL on Oct 30 will be more meaningful to me considering I was on the inaugural flight. Nevertheless, would love to read a trip report from someone flying on FY's final flight back to KUL.

Looks like I'll have to get myself to BKI and back on the 30th having been on their inaugural flight to BKI on Jan 15, I would love to be on the last flight as well.

What time did this plane depart? Were you at Lakeside? I was there too from 0930-1030 but I didn't see anyone.

Haven't been spotting in KUL for quite some time and I had the opportunity to do so after dropping a relative off at LCCT. I've been trying to catch this plane for years and this is actually the first time I've seen it with my own eyes Also a tribute to Al Davis, the owner of Oakland Raiders who passed away on the 8th. Also my first time catching 9M-AFK. I think it has lost its WOW factor already. I like how they added the Chinese words under the wings. Romeo Delta, ex-Heliconia. Anyone can explain the leak/rust stains on the belly? Always a joy to watch the Queen of the Skies powering away. Can't wait to see the EK A380's next year!

Was having a look on FR24 last Saturday and it picked up M53-01 operating as P01 (Perdana 01 I assume). Was just wondering if picking up of military planes on FR24 or KLVR is something normal as this is my first time seeing it.
