  1. 9M-XXV been deployed to bki on almost continous basis. Not sure if there is chance for us to see XXF and XXT phoenix haha..
  2. runway length at mkz is ok about the same length as Sandakan(WBKS) which handled world travel A330s before so maybe all it needs is strenghtening to enable heavier aircrafts go land. What MKZ really needs is apron enlargement to enable more planes to park.
  3. As for BKI's A333 op by ak, norticed so far XXV,XXY,XXE being deployed.
  4. AK5110 today operated by 9M-XXV. On another note for those who are flying with AK you might check out AK5110, AK5121, AK5118 these two weeks i've noticed this flights offers flat bed on ak website, which means they're operated by A330-300. As for y we're seeing them often it is also due to AK move to T1 and also probably related to this KUALA LUMPUR: Low-cost airline AirAsia Bhd has entered into a US$4.93mil (RM20.54mil) aircraft wet lease agreement with its long-haul sister company AirAsia X Bhd (AAX) to mitigate operational constraints during peak travel season. As part of the agreement, AirAsia will engage AAX’s services to wet lease one A330 aircraft to operate the Kuala Lumpur–Kota Kinabalu route from March 17 to June 12, 2016. 5. U may try Uzbekistan Airways B767 or as other members mentioned Oman air A330.
  6. Anyone had problems with Thai Airways website before? It's my first time booking with them and my transaction has been rejected many times on CIMB Debit Card and Public Bank Credit Card. As of now im holding a reservation booking no with no payment made. Sector involving Singapore to Bangkok i believe should not be a problem. Their reservation office in Singapore is closed at the moment while their call centre in Bangkok could not help but asked me to wait for the Singapore office to open on weekday to call and do a credit card transaction on phone.
  7. Fares still available though not cheap bout MYR282 on Y. I will be boarding one of the flights in 3 weeks. Odd thing Y premium or premium economy is unbookable for this flight.
  8. usually on flightradar v8-ali can only be seen as b744 same for his a342 and b762. Rego will not be shown. These aircrafts are known to do touch n go around north borneo namely MYY, BKI, SDK-and TWU on a weekly to monthly basis sometimes.
  9. Went to spot some CNY upgrades 9M-MTD And finally got this elusive bird!
  10. 9M-RKB has been stuck in BkI since yesterday and only took this evening. One down aircraft is definitely affecting operations for other sectors as there is only two aircraft servicing 4 routes.
  11. Couple of MASWings ATR72-600 series are being ferried to SZB on FR24 at the moment. Heard the entire 600 series might be taken out of MASWings fleet roster and moved to Firefly due to underutilize and also the series are not partly sponsored by State gov as compared to the 500 series.
  12. There'd definitely be a load restriction on fuel if not the 777 would've overran wellington on take off hahaha. Hence why there is the Canberra stop.
  13. I believe the market share for domestics especially flights to East Msia are already saturated by multiple frequencies by AK and MH. Loads to secondary routes have not fared well except for holiday seasons. OD tried (MYY,SBW,TWU)and it did not fared well.. Services to BKI KCH has frequency reduction to just 3 daily now even with heavy marketing, billboards etc. Unless MH/AK are to reduced the frequency on the routes then it should not be a problem for OD to ply.
  14. Great start for 2016 Yesterday's catches
  15. Definitely uncomfortable on the 738 but MAB will likely just increase the frequency, airlines that do not have strong market share have been known to do this If there is demand rather than upgrading them to the 772s. The 772 these days are just not that efficient on doing short-regional sector especially when u check on its fuel burn and maintenance cost as compared to the a333 on the same sector and we havent pitch in the A330 Neos cost effectiveness yet which i think MAB should get some. The only thing maybe MAB can do now is readjust the seat pitch on Y or upgrade some of the flights if there are spare idling A333's which i doubt .
  16. All inbound from KUL and likely the morning flights. Just be on the lookout on fr24. If not mistakeN yesterdays flight was flown by 9M-XXF.
  17. Guys theres some ak flights being upgraded to d7 a330s to PEN up to dec 16 be on the lookout.
  18. Website for the current owner of the 747s. Idling there for years are the airframe's airworthy? http://swiftaircargo.com/Newsroom.html
  19. Guess the good old days of seeing widebody Haj charter at secondary airports will be rare next year.
  20. Which adds another question with the A380's doing Haj/Umrah charters. How would they arrange for packages from places like TGG,AOR,BKI,KCH since the B772 will exit as most of these airports are not really A380 ready while the A333s are dedicated to their long regional routes.
  21. Apparently some of the pilots are overworked and AK has cut down a lot of allowance n benefits. They also fly more often than our 738 pilots(who are also on the knife's edge by MAB cost cutting scheme) in the region but hours, sector and basic pay combined is still among the lowest. Some are called during off duty in the mid night on the last minute. There's definitely some contempt with the management However i'm not sure is this related to the 13 pilots reported sick news.
  22. I believe a KC-10 just took off.
  23. Its an exercise actually. If not mistaken the ospreys n greyhounds will be around until 7th.
  24. Military traffic was bit up today as we are in a joint exercise with the United States so i took the opportunity to spot The special trafficfor today is the arrival of VIPs from Subang. Never thought i would see this Doomsday with my own eyes what more in KK haha.. Plane brought along the US Secretary of Defence Ashton Carter to oversee the exercise at Seppanggar Bay. The doomsday was followed by this private 737 carrying Defence Minister Hishamuddin. The Plane i believe was ex 9M-FJA. Brought on by this massive sized Boeing C-17 GlobeMaster III The military exercise consists of mostly Greyhounds and Ospreys.
