  1. Boeing has clearly stated that the choice of seats is up to the customer. Hence those are not the actual seats.
  2. I am sure that the domestic product will feature drop ceiling screens like used on firefly ATR
  3. As not to do a Lion air job, maybe they can follow SQ as having configured their 777's into two types of cabin product, long haul and meduim haul. With 55 planes on order, MH can have some for domestic use with out PTV's and others for international with PTVs. Just an idea.
  4. The news from seattle is that those will be the lauch customers. I hope MH doesnt go cost cutting and say thaey dont need all that!!!!!! MH tends to fly their 737's half way around the world (China, Taipei, Australia) and hence that cabin will be a nice welcome and change. Half the job for MH has been done by boeing. Now all we need is some nice AVOD system seats. MH will be a winner. wider cabin in the sense that the overhead bin are swooped upwards like 777.
  5. This is the new 737 NG cabin layout and launch cumstomers will include flydubai and Malaysia air. Also its gets an updated engine and wider cabin. The seat selection will be up to the customer however.
  6. Change the name to Mahathir airport and the last few international airlines also will stop landing there.
  7. Imagine being stuck in a plane for 8 hours without PTV ( Abuse #1)and after a peaceful fisrt leg (DXB-KHI) you are then abused by someone (Abuse #2)who boarded on transit, then the judge(Abuse #3) decides to throw you out of the seat that you had been on from the very start of the flight, then adds that it was done out of concern for you.(Abuse #4) Ha ha.. Then comes some MW members saying they doubt the story,2 sides not heard, these group of peole will do anything for an upgrade and so on. Thus abusing her further.(Abuse #5) The awardd for the best abuser in this case goes to ......... It has been known that indian sub continent flights has been top $$ spinners for MH for many years. Tickets used to range in the region of $1800 and a little more $2500 could well get you into europe. While I will certainly travel on MH A330 to PEN,,BKI SIN or DPS (Bali) from KL snd find it a great way to travel I wont enbark on a journey more than 5 hours on that metal, given the sub standard offerings inside, EY AND CLUB. Its high time to upgade them,it sticks out like a sore thumb. To save cost, maybe transfer the T7/747 mini screen seat to this birds and then upgrade those seats in T7/744. Overall it clear that the crew made the wrong judgement but kudos to the PR team for clarifying and trying to rectify the situation.Well done. As one MW member put it. LUcky this incident was on Us shores or we all will be in court.
  8. Taipei is only 4 hours away from KL and i think the 32o's can do the job too. Personally I think taipei is more cost effective tahn any japenese city as far as catering, and other aviation charges are concerned. Alongside japan, it has one of the best cateirng quality available in the world,in my opinion. You will get fllufy shiny and tasty buns! The rest of the food is also top marks.
  9. One was painted in air india's new colors and the SQ ones were converted to cargo, world airways I thibk but not too sure which carier. Unsure bout the rest.
  10. what does handling by lotus means? sonunds like a marketing gimmick to fool malaysians.Even putting pax side air bag was not mandatory for all proton models,(your life is not our concern). In australasia, where they are pressing on mandatory side air bags, due to brain damage of side impact, it is almost unheard of as far as proton is concerned. Yes all models of hyundai in NZ comes with side air bags, besids the normal ones in the front,no matter how much you pay for the car1 Average price 20K! MAlaysians are being ripped off bt high pricing of inferior products from proton..
  11. Let stop hopping on MH to do anything for the near future. we will feel better.
  12. Economy passengers will not get short changed on this bus. Now that is a 5 star product. Personally ey looks outstanding but the chequered fabric in biz and Fc is not my cup of tea.
  13. so no one have yet suggested how many classes should the Mh A380 have besides giving it to the goverment iT YOU THROW AN AIRCRAFT OF THAT SIZE TO THE GOVERMENT, THE GOVEMENT WONT KNOW WHAT HIT THEM.
  14. 44th airliner will be another unkown to the world indonesian airliner!
  15. MH doesnt need to buy berjaya air for rights to fly to tioman. It can easily do so via firefly.
  16. Well maybe Mh can have the same seat but wider...maybe widest bussiness class seat in the sky? Itcould be narrow judging from how wide the 77 aisle is on the photo. There is loads of space between the aisle seat and the window one.
  17. Musrif you are right about Ey J product. to others who wish to view it. http://www.airliners.net/photo/Etihad-Airw...nr=4&sid=If this cabin can be enhanced for A380, it will be great. It does not looked cramped with seats and yet offers the required privacy.
  18. Maybe they should put their own house in order first. Buying new planes for themselves.......
  19. Aviation Authority to Revoke Lapsed Airline Licenses The operating licenses of dozens of airlines and charter operators, including the now-banned Adam Air, will be terminated in June if they cannot continue to provide services, the Ministry of Transportation warned on Monday. Tri Sunoko, director of air transportation at the ministry's civil aviation department, said the ministry had warned 32 air operators — many of which did not even have aircraft — that their licenses would not be renewed if they could not prove they were operational. In accordance with a ministerial decree on regulating air transportation, the ministry had given the airlines a year-long deadline to operate a minimum of two aircraft. If airlines failed to meet the requirements by June, they would have to halt all operations and apply for new licenses. Most of the airlines were based in Jakarta, with a few located in Bali. Sunoko said that some of the airlines’ aircraft were idle and did not have flight clearance, while other operators did not have any planes at all. Airlines that received notice from the ministry include: Adam Skyconnection Airlines, or Adam Air, which was banned from operating last year in the wake of a string of accidents; Golden Air; Asia Avia Megatama; Bali International Air Service; Eka Sari Lorena; Star Air; Air Paradise International; Indonesian Airlines Avi Patria; Bayu Indonesia; Bouraq Indonesia; Seulawah Nad Air; Top Sky International; Jatayu Gelang Sejahtera; Efata Papua Airlines; Deraya; Pelita Air Service; and Eagle Transport Services. Chartered operators that operate airplanes with 30 seats or less are: Bali International Air Service; Nurman Avia Indopura; Buay Air Services; Prodexim; Aviasi Upata Raksa Indonesia; Adi Wahana Angkasa Nusantara; Daya Jasa Transindo Pratama; Nusantara Air Charter; Sky Aviation; Love Air Services; Pegasus Air Charter; Janis Air Transport; and Air Maleo. Air Paradise International, which served only international routes to and from Bali, had to halt its operations in 2005 after only two years of service due to a massive downturn in passenger numbers after the second Bali bombings. In March 2008, the government banned Adam Air after a string of safety incidents, including the Flight 574 crash that claimed 102 lives, but only after it became apparent the airline was bankrupt. The airline was established by speaker of the House of Representatives, Agung Laksono, a Golkar politician, and Sandra Aung, who has been named as a suspect by police for allegedly embezzling Rp 2.1 trillion ($182.7 million) of the company’s money.
  20. Yup the F class beds were great but sleep at an angle slide down J class, dont know about that. But it was also that time that many airlines were putting lie flat in their bussiness section (BA). Having said that the Avod system introduced was fantastic and is still today. In todays aviation world due to the intensity competition of bussiness the word "mercy" is rarely used.
  21. PT Eka Sari Lorena Airlines is an Indonesian airline which is based in Soekarno-Hatta International Airport. It uses Boeing 737-300 aircraft to fly from Jakarta-CGK to Palembang and Pekanbaru. The CEO of this airline is Eka Sari Lorena Surbakti, daughter of the owner of Lorena Group, a bus operating company. Hmm they operate public bus as well. “We offer what is called an ‘air to door’ service, where passengers can continue to travel to their destination after stepping off our plane by using our buses.” Lorena Group is one of the country’s most well-known bus operators. Does this mean Enrich members will get to travel by bus for free? “We offer what is called an ‘air to door’ service, where passengers can continue to travel to their destination after stepping off our plane by using our buses.” Lorena Group is one of the country’s most well-known bus operators. 22. Quite true aye...Hopefully this time we wont be 1 generation behind rivals.
  23. Also please take note that even MH had seat reshuffles on its fleet before (As QF is deciding), When first stasrted, T7 had first class and then this was removed for 2 class config. Also at one stage the A330' had 44 bussinness clas seats but this again was redesigned for fewer seats. The main objective here is to provide a platform from which a product can be derived if the need be so.Or at least as a reference. The one cool thing I saw on one airline if flower pots in F class on side wall for every seat, with a rose in it. And for EY every 10 rows, or so a flower boquet.
