  1. Slowly reducing by the numbers. However the Static Display number's increasing every update. Any info on whether aircraft visiting LIMA will be stopping by at any nearby airports before proceeding to Langkawi?
  2. Thanks Laurie, had a great time spotting. Looks like they could be from Singapore, but cannot confirm as they were a distance away when I saw them. Wonder if it has anything to do with the coming LIMA exhibition.
  3. Some rotorcraft activity this morning, with Apaches and Chinooks. No pics though.
  4. Looks like Russian Helicopters are coming to LIMA too. http://www.russianhelicopters.aero/en/press/exhibitions/6396.html
  5. Whoah Minot is far.. Would be rather less economical to be making multiple trips back and forth to Langkawi, regardless of where it is coming from.
  6. 2 Years back, the MAS A380 flew from KLIA to Langkawi for the flypast. Where would the B-52 be departing from in this case? Subang?
  7. Luxaviation Legacy 600 (LX-OLA) looks like it is heading to Penang. Somewhere over Kelantan.
  8. Agree with that. Somehow, for one, the RSAF seem to have taken longer loops before displaying at center stage, while the RoKAF took tighter turns, reducing crowds' "wait" time. The RSAF shot flares at the end though . Nothing phenomenal, but great nonetheless.
  9. Two aircraft?? Not gonna be as great as the Singapore Airshow, but who knows, they might have some new moves.
  10. Short session with -MUD as the main catch of the day with China Airlines Cargo being the secondary catch. Short trip. (China Airlines Cargo never arrived though) SSLee
  11. That should be a fun catch.
  12. Small incident at KLIA. Some pics here: http://aviation-safety.net/wikibase/wiki.php?id=173773 Could have just tipped over though
  13. Thought I read somewhere that we need to be in office attire for the trade days?? Wouldn't that be incredibly hot?
  14. Thanks Raymund. I have not had the chance to ride on TG yet. Hopefully sometime in the future. I see their A330s lifting of the ground fairly early, which suggests very light load. Chances might be a little slim for them to send the 330s back here, now that their 320s are operational. More from that day. IMG_8447 by sslee86, on Flickr FedEx (N572FE) on the runway IMG_8454 by sslee86, on Flickr And now on the taxiway. Then it was time to try some closeups. IMG_8464 by sslee86, on Flickr AirAsia (9M-AQV) Missed a closeup opportunity on the first FedEx. Lucky though that FedEx sends 3 freighters to Penang on Saturdays. Many more to come. SSLee
  15. New Year, New Thread, New Planes, New Places. Have a great year ahead. IMG_8257 by sslee86, on Flickr Thai Airways International A320 (HS-TXA) - They now use A320s to replace the A330s IMG_8303 by sslee86, on Flickr Dragonair A330-342 (B-HLB) IMG_8312 by sslee86, on Flickr Caught this MAS soaring overhead. Quite a lot of planes flying around in the morning. Even caught SQ's 330. RMAF Beech 200T (M41-03) It took such a short length of the runway and lifted off pretty fast. Even at full zoom, it was small. Happy New Year to all.
  16. Wow.... Getting more and more. There are ships too!! Do they open ships to the public for visit?
  17. Black box found. http://www.channelnewsasia.com/news/singapore/airasia-qz8501-black-box/1583208.html
  18. Well I myself have only been to one airshow which was the Singapore Airshow 2014. I went during the public days and missed out on the A350 and the B787 that came on the first and left on the second day. Based on this experience, my best bet would be to go on the first or second day of the trade days if you want to see the most number of aircraft. If you are not able to make it for the trade days, I guess the best would be to go during the first Public Day. Just my opinion though as I have not been to LIMA before.
  19. 17th-21st March No entry of the Apache in the display list (yet; hopefully RSAF will send a few up)
  20. Quite a complete video of the landing sequence. Amazing that the starboard engines were completely clear of the ground.
  21. Quite a nice looking one too. Curvy lines are now the way to go.
  22. Interesting stuff: http://www.lima.com.my/GUI/pdf/List%20of%20Aircrafts.pdf I see the A400M
  23. Or Omni Air International??
  24. The Black Knights gave quite a display back in the Singapore Airshow, ending their show with some flare release (seemed really cool to me). Hope to see that again. Excitement slowly building up for LIMA.
