  1. Sunday session. Weather was perfect for spotting without the risk of getting sunburn. Dragonair A330-342 (B-HLJ) That shrub had to be there Thai Smile A320-232 (HS-TXQ) Saw this little gem. No chance to see it depart though IAI Westwind Malindo ATR72-600 (9M-LMQ) Firefly with the Visit Selangor livery Firefly ATR72-500 (9M-FYE) Have a feeling that Flickr sharpens the image a bit after it is uploaded. AirAsia A320-216 (9M-AHM) Hybrid Batik Malindo B737-8GP (9M-LCH)
  2. I wonder how accurate the list is. I remember seeing that "All aircraft in the aerial display will be on static display". Was happy for a moment that even the B-1 would be there (silly me), but the list got updated. Thought I saw that the A350 was supposed to be on Static display too, but now no-longer there.
  3. Such a great comparison. I had the impressions that 757s were big enough (though maybe due to the fact I see them with 320s), but against the Queens.. not really.
  4. Saw a Chinook departing from PEN yesterday. Flew rather low. Heard there was an exercise or something.
  5. They do on the main flights such as the incoming evening flight and outgoing morning flight. But I've seen them sending the baby busses on Sunday afternoons.
  6. Might try it sometime in the future. See how it is there. Been quite a while since I was there. Here's some activity on Sunday afternoon. First was a light one, heading south. Cessna 182 (9M-ASH) I've always found the shorter A320 variants (319s and 318s) to be cute with those wings and engines on a shorter fuselage. Silkair A319-133 (9V-SBH) And my catch of the day. Dragonair's A321 operating flight KA634. Dragonair A321-231 (B-HTE) SSLee
  7. They do have some flights, but there are really low in frequency. Remembered trying to book a return flight on Malindo to MKZ. Could only get a flight going there, but cannot get one back.
  8. Look at the wingflex. Very nice shot.
  9. Sadly rather short-lived. Similar to HK Express.
  10. Was this the service with the CRJ?
  11. I remember taking MAS' 744 and Korean 330 into Penang many years back. I would think that they have the load factors for Penang. Nowadays, a lot of traffic is routed to KL first before going anywhere.
  12. But hey, no fret. They still look great. Thank you all for sharing.
  13. I see that Lucky Air does have many different liveries, but this really reminds me of BA.
  14. Happy New Year to all. Here's starting the year with Good Luck !! Lucky Air B737-84P (B-6015) SSLee

  17. Nice.. At least they took some initiative to make the tower merrier.
  18. Will be heading there someone next week. The guide is great and the cathedral look fantastic. I noticed there are two points, one at the car park and the other at the end of the runway. Would an 18-135 on a crop body be sufficient for both sides?
  19. Nice one. Looks like the grass cutters were having a field day out there.

  23. The MAX series' winglet is a new design altogether. Much bigger too. Looks like the scimitar winglet is targeted at existing aircraft while the New winglets are dedicated to the MAX series.
  24. Awesome. Will be on the lookout for the NEO flights. Can really get more chances with AGA's schedule. Saw the routes to and from Penang this morning and was hoping to catch it this afternoon. Bigger engines, bigger diameter more time needed On a serious note though, maybe there are some new / different checks required which adds to the Turn Around Time.
  25. Spotting trip 2 weeks ago, almost 4 hours worth. One of the main aim was to get the A320Neo (my first attempt), though it did not show up. Snapped other greater things though. Sneak peak of the not so frequent visitor Thai Smile A320-232 (HS-TXS) Plants are starting to get in the way. AirAsia A320-216 (9M-AJX) A Bird with a bigger metallic bird behind A-BIRD Dragonair A330-343 (B-HWM) Firefly ATR72-500 (9M-FYD) Air HongKong A300F4-605R (B-LDF) AirAsia A320-216 (9M-AJX) Got the AirAsia Foundation jet again. AirAsia A320-216 (9M-AQI) Malindo ATR72-600 (9M-LMG) SilkAir B737-8SA (9V-MGA) China Southern Airlines A321-211 (B-6685) FedEx B767-3S2F (ER) (N109FE) Looks almost the same from the front China Southern has sent many types to Penang. I've gotten the A319, the A320 and now the A321. Looking forward to their 737s and really hopefully, their 757s.
