  1. They announced it a long time ago - almost two years. What took them so long? Keep hearing it all the time without any concrete dates.
  2. You can put retails within underground space too. It is going to be a visually obtrusive bridge. Won't be good for spotters either. I tend to think the Hong Kong government will go for the cheapest option. They are renowned for being cheap without worrying about the appearance on most occassion.
  3. Wouldn't it be better to go underground as what you would find in most US airport? The tail fin of the A380 is really high.
  4. Thought they have previously dealt with RR as found on their former 777-200ERs. How different is that?
  5. Captain, sounds like being trained for the B737-800 or B737-900ER?
  6. My take is that the rich and well off bunch can do whatever they want and the last thing on their card is being patriotic. Only the poor suckers are the patriotic bunch who are being brainwashed to being patriotic in order to keep them in power. Anyway off topic.
  7. The Comac C919 narrowbody lifted off from Shanghai Pudong International airport's fourth runway at 14:00 local time, marking its maiden sortie seven years into its development. Read more: https://www.flightglobal.com/news/articles/comac-c919-commences-maiden-flight-436873/
  8. LOL!!! True that There is one type she ain't operating............747-8i/ 747-8f.
  9. So long as you have joined the company, I am sure it's just a matter of time
  10. Will only be a special livery I reckon.. Only one...
  11. Captain, are you getting trained up for the MAX!?
  12. Cool thanks... Just checked they had 2x A310-200 and 2x A310-300. One of their A310-200s and One A310-300 crashed in 1988 and 1992 respectively.
  13. I know, but it wasn't me who said that. I am quoting what she mentioned. Indian destinations apparently are flights that CX would love to avoid too.
  14. Sure, but I am just speaking from a personal point of view. On the other hand, I have always wondered why airlines are still ordering the A330s CEOs and A330s NEOs even when the A350s are available. CX bought a handful of ex-SQ and ex-South African 744s.
  15. Yes I can confirm that story is true. I have a friend who is a CX Flight attendant. From what she told me, they prefer to avoid KUL and SIN as pax are hard to serve and makes a complaint even on trivial matters. Pax from SIN-city even more so. That said Hong Kongers are pretty hard to serve themselves too, they are probably used to that.
  16. Again that sorta proved my points from many years ago. KUL has less to offer compared to Bangkok and Singapore.
  17. I should have addressed my experience directly to Alan Joyce back then about the rude treatment by the Menzies staff at MEL T2 way back in 2010. Or how many counts of turnaround?
  18. True... even a normal heavily loaded 748 bound for the US from China or Korea would not have the same flex as the 787s. A bit of a shame really. She would look smashing with a good bit of bending to the wing.
  19. What about KUL-MEL flights? EK408/409 no longer doing KUL-MEL right?
  20. Haha... the "Frogs". Haven't heard this in a while - the slang terminology for the French... Whats next the Kraut? /
  21. Great photos, Waiping and Jahur!
  22. TG never acquired A310, if I remembered correctly. Were you referring to the A300B4-200 and A300B4-600R which were owned by TG?
  23. If I remembered correctly, they fly from Oslo to Bangkok Suvarnabhumi. My brother has flown with them before.
