Cheers The first three (from foreground) kangaroos: VH-OGS(B763), VH-OEB(B744), VH-OQE (A388) all have new kangaroos n new titles. Except VH-OJN (B744) which is background blocked by the blunder bus. hehehe... Huge tail of A388 compared to B744.
  2. For those interested, look out for AI442 STA 0755. Equipment upgrade from A320 to B777 from 21 June 2010 onwards. SQ's 15th A330-300 9V-STO will be delivered on the 26th June 2010. STA is 1300. 3. Update : I've got in touch with a representative from Asialink, apparently the flight has been postponed to first week of July due to "some unresolved issues with the Ministry". I guess better luck for me next time.
  4. Nothing shown up on the departure flight board yet. Btw there's a Cirrus appreciation event on the 19th at Integrated Flight Training organized by Wing over Asia.
  5. There was a huge TS (it was HUGE!!!) on that morning. Orchard Rd got flooded.
  6. Hi Vic ... yeah I am currently holidaying in Ipoh. I have no idea what's ETA of this Asialink F27 as she has been doing BTH-SIN-BTH all this while. I will monitor SIN departure flight board tomorrow and hope she will be on-time on this inaugural.
  7. Indeed a rare scene of QF in KUL, not to mention an A380!

  12. Thanks guys! As much as I want you to believe that SYD is all sunny n blue sky, we had typical gloomy wintery weather more than 1/2 the time. Nevertheless, we had some really good catches. 14. Nice catch of the SQ A345 ... as SQ 3021 to KUL for line check I heard. Returned as SQ 3024.
  15. 20R season has finally arrived!!! Some random photos from today. SQ 22 aka 'Polar Express' to Newark taxiing to rwy 20C. Look so handsome with those RR Trent 500, unlike those 'hair dryers'. Tow-tug race ... Singapore Airlines is leading against Jet Airways. Thanks to the hospitality of Mark & Bono. Some of us get to spot from this vantage point. Thanks a million!!! Thanks for viewing. Cheers.
  16. 200mm is more than enough for heavies. Good to have 300mm for smaller birds like B737 & A320s. Chaity & I was using 100-400, so no problem there. Didn't see any anaconda ... but lotsa 'landmines' while on our way in.
  17. Was up to KUL with 'Nguyen' last weekend. Meet up with Chaity & Keith ... and we went to the 'new' morning spot. Early morning light was less than ideal. DHL opb Transmile (9M-TGH) was cleared 6000ft to SZB. We had to settle for a belly shot of this new color Air Maritius (3B-NBL) when it did a A10 intersection departure to SIN. Light was getting much better in later part of morning and all heavies departure were sensational from this angle. We had two Gulf Air A343 (A9C-LG & A9C-LC) Definitely Malaysian! MH4 (9M-MPK) to London with oil palm foreground. Korean Air Cargo (HL7485) looked extremely nice in good light. Beacon light on EK A345 (A6-ERA) looked mighty fine as well. Curry express (VT-AXV) did nice slow climb enabled us to get some decent shots of her. A flying classic like IR B741 is definitely a bonus even though we were hoping for 'Sangat Pendek' (very short). 'One Malaysia' departing against a gloomy sky. Thanks Chaity & Keith for bringing us around. Not forgetting that bunch of jokers (you know who) that took us out for some iced cold beer & some sinful dinner. See you guys in SIN city soon. Thanks for viewing. Cheers.
  18. Thank you MIR!!! You are awesome! That means it is msn 22641 instead of msn 22643 as shown in one of the JPnet photo.
  19. Some update from WMKJ. 17 MAY 2010 Target of the day was this classic in Neptune Air livery - 9M-NEP. Can anyone confirm that this is indeed ex VH-VLI (msn 22641) or ex HZ-SNF (msn 22643)? I got conflicting info regarding the origin of this aircraft. This AN12 (EK-12112) is of course dedicated to our biggest Russian fan - Uncle Pieter. Same B747-146SR (5U-ACG) revisit with some new angles. Thanks for viewing.
  20. Wah ... way sooner than i thought. Gulung tikar already so fast...
  21. 2/5 SilkAir 9V-SBA in all white color came back from air test prior to sunset. I got a little bit bore with the normal traffics, so I shot noses. Here you go Idham, EK Skycargo in OO-THD, boleh? The Flying Dutchman PH-BQL from Pieter land short final while 'Sing Kay Por' on downwind. Too many noses also no good, I shot main gears. Thanks for viewing. Cheers.
  22. Good weather on labour day weekend as well. 9V-STL as Singapore 330 from TLS. 12th A333 in ther series but the 13th aircraft to be delivered. 9V-STM was delivered a week ealier. We were all wondering what the heck is this when MYSAI (my crap in Hokkien ) showed up on flight board. Here is it - Bombardier Global 5000 registered in Isle of Man. Finally the other Boeing B739ER PK-LFF in Dreamliner livery. China Eastern baby bus B-2333 from Qing Dao. The strong late afternoon sun proved too much to bear for this Garuda Captain. Newspaper all taped up on the side cockpit window. Etihad A332 arrived early just rite before the sun disappear behind some huge CBs. Thanks for viewing. Cheers.
  23. 30 April - Blue Sky ... First JAL B777-200ER with 'One World' cs - JA707J. Go Roos VH-VQH has been doing the PER-SIN-PEN-SIN-BKK-SIN-PER rotation for the past 2 days. Silkair latest babybus - 9V-SBH. We expect Sands Corp to send more of their aircrafts to SIN especially after the opening of their casino. Tri-star and B747SP pls. One of the many Garuda new B738 - PK-GMK. Not forgetting another roo - Qantas Socceroos VH-OJS. Another Jetstar Value meal 9V-VLF. Thanks for viewing. Cheers.
  24. This one I believe is permanently going on retirement! hehehe ... it only took 6 mins to fly from PER to JAD. Like Mir said, will be used by Polytechnic West for their aviation program, not flying anymore.
  25. Fuiyoh ... MIR. Very nice warbirds there. Now I already missing all these exotic metal birds.
