(BangkokPost.com) - Thai Airways flight TG 415 made an emergency landing in Hat Yai on Tuesday morning after the pilot discovered a problem with the air pressure system, Thai Airways representative, Suraphon Israngkula Na Ayudhya said.

The flight took off from Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi Airport on its way to Kuala Lumpur.

All of the 287 passengers were reported safe.

The aircraft requested an emergency landing at the Hat Yai International Airport in southern Thailand at 10 am, approximately one hour after it took off.

It is expected that the plane will resume its flight in the afternoon. If the problem cannot be resolved, Thai Airways said it would send in another plane to take the passengers on to KL.

--------------------

according the news, it was the air pressure problem.

this will results in dropping of oxygen mask due to low cabin pressure.

as you say the plane has a drastic descend, that is maybe because of emergency descend made by the pilot to lower altitude to get a suitable air pressure!
