Imran K. 0 Report post Posted July 1, 2005 I can confirm that the JAL aircraft which we saw..was a 777-300ER. I got a shot of seconds before its touchdown and i can clearly see the raked wingtip. Also...if u search on A.NET...the rego for JAL's 777-300ER's start from JA731J..then JA732J..and the one we saw was JA733J.. Yeahoo..i got another 777-300ER shot!! T Azahan 1 Report post Posted July 2, 2005 wow, you guys are first spotters to catch the 300ER. yup, the raked wing tips and the GE engines in the picture confirms its an ER. JL non ERs for both 200 and 300 are powered by Pratt.

Liau 0 Report post Posted July 3, 2005 Haha .. I'm just a newbie ... Just curious.. Are we allowed to go inside the "Stesen KajiCuaca?" Coz I usually climb up a small hill which later results in a pair of shoes full of mud ... Haha
Pieter C. 5 Report post Posted July 3, 2005 Ghostky, Nice pictures, the last one, especially ! Actually, what's the airline operating that A320 between the Yemenia A313 and the KLM asia 744 ? Looks very similar to Turkish, but doubt they will operate all the way to KUL with 320/

TK 0 Report post Posted July 3, 2005 ONE MORE... Riau sent the PK-RAS...newbie..usually i got the PK-RAL
Imran K. 0 Report post Posted July 3, 2005 Riau also sent PK-RAS on friday! Got my first ever Fokker 50 shot...and it was also the first time i've ever seen a Fokker 50 in real life! What a nice aircraft...those engines are fabulous! Sound like bees buzzing...
Pieter C. 5 Report post Posted July 3, 2005 Imran, Glad you enjoyed the Fokker F50; although, it's based on a 1955 design (Fokker F27), it still looks fantastic and sleak These engines are really "silent"...in fact, KLM cityhopper had to do some training last friday 01jul05 and, although OST is usually closed for the summer season (airport is close to the beach), I was given permission to proceed, given the fact that it's "not a jet" For a picture of PH-KVH, go to www.flugzeugbilder.de and select OST and/or PH-KVH (quite a treat for OST-spotters )
Imran K. 0 Report post Posted July 3, 2005 Pieter, Im going to Kuching on the 13th of July...and I hope i get the chance to see more of these flying beauties! They truly are workhorses! I cant imagine flying over a large body of water with that aircraft...
