S V Choong 4 Report post Posted August 23, 2007 Stumbled across this Taken in 1992, looks to me that it was trying to perform a stunt and then stalled.
Sandeep G 1 Report post Posted August 23, 2007 This was a test flight for the A/C - Elevator Gust locks were not removed prior to flight, hence the serious increase in pitch and subsequent low altitude stall which culminated in this spectacular, yet tragic crash. S V Choong 4 Report post Posted August 24, 2007 Sandeep, was that the test flight for this TC turboprop conversion? Original DHC-4A Caribon had piston engines with 14 cylinders each! http://www.ausairpower.net/Turbo-Caribou.html http://www.ausairpower.net/DT-Turbo-Caribou-July-05.pdf I wonder if the RAAF is going to convert their Caribous to turboprops.
