Imran K. 0 Report post Posted September 16, 2005 eh? why leh Imran? Ben-G 7701[/snapback] EK have a very strict policy regarding such requests...it's basically a BIG NO! If the F/A is in a good mood (which is quite rare on EK)...then he/she might just laugh it off, but if the F/A is rather grouchy (quite common on EK)...then you'd be escorted off the a/c by security personnel..and interrogated. It's happened quite a few times before. Once..a guy asked whether he could go to the cockpit....F/A "surveyed" him and notified the captain that a "BEARDED MUSLIM" wanted to visit the cockpit. One of the pilots notified EK HQ in Dubai...when they landed..he was escorted off and was remanded for interrogation. He's been in police custody for the past 2 months... That's why im so damn scared of asking the F.A for a visit to the cockpit... (partly coz i sport a beard...)
kandiah k 0 Report post Posted September 17, 2005 Benjamin, I have sat on 27A and 28A many times on the B747 of MAS. The seat 27A has two windows sometimes but not the whole window. But nevertheless, the seats are comfy for a person my height (5' as there is more legroom even when I'm seated properly. I have tried asking for seat 26A but have been told that the seat is reserved for tall people and people who are willing to help in case of any emergency as the person there has to open the exit door and help evacuate. But on many occassions, I noticed people with injured leg seated there, so that got me thinking how will they assist in case of an emergency ?
