S V Choong 4 Report post Posted September 12, 2005 Keith, NZ General Elections coming up this Saturday. Sorry to say, prolly won't vote for Labour though. National's tax cutting scheme sounds good to me Just far too many people in NZ are taking advantage of the social welfare system, which many here are sick and tired of it literally. Some of them are quite fit and well to work, but somehow chose to sit their fat arse at home. NZ Labour party is FAR too generous in giving out money. Also, with the Maori's Treaty of Waitangi problem, it is better to get rid of it sooner than later. National pledge to get rid of it by 2010. A lot of money is wasted for these unproductive stuff on Maori rights and crap. After all, Maori are not true natives of NZ anyway, neither could we undo what our forefathers did, so every race should be equal. It's called nepotism, or in layman terms - jobs for mates. Correct. It is still quite a common practice in Malaysia and Asia.

Do you get voting rights in NZ ?

Roszaimy 0 Report post Posted September 22, 2005 But this guy seems to have experience turning companies around. His last stint was at Shell chemical company (or something), in a very touch petrochemical business. He could bring his expertise to similarly turn things around at MAS. He is different compared to previous *cronies* who took over when things are good.
