jani 0 Report post Posted December 9, 2014 After flying a certain European LCC, you really have to give to AirAsia for how they do things in comparison. Thumbs-up Tony.
flee 5 Report post Posted December 9, 2014 As far is European LCCs are concerned (there are many), I have only experienced EasyJet once in 2011. Their web site was good and web check in was easy. At the airport, check in was not as easy as Airasia and we had to wait for the counter to open for our flight. The flight was delayed. In flight - it was OK as we did not opt to buy food nor other services (2 hour flight). At the arriving airport (BRU), the aircraft was parked near the end of the terminal building. So it was a long walk and at the end of it, we still had to wait for the luggage. Airasia is good if you have a simple itinerary that does not require connecting flights. It is good if nothing goes wrong with your flight. However, we have seen some nightmare reports once a flight hits problems and pax have missed their connecting flights, or when luggage is lost, etc. So when you travel LCC, expect the service level to be low to non-existent when you hit problems. Mulyadir Fitri 0 Report post Posted December 9, 2014 AirAsia will only take care of your connecting problems if you use their fly thru service. If you encounter problems while self connecting with seperate iteneraries, you are at their mercy.
KK Lee 5 Report post Posted November 30, 2016 Was on AK8367 from MLE recently; when check in, the flight was cancelled/retimed/delayed for about 15 hours. Surprised that AK offered dinner and accommodation for all pax. Although ground handling agent was not as organized as FSC but still efficient by Maldivian standards.
