A global price comparison claims to have found the world’s cheapest airline – but have you ever heard of it?Firefly’s average airfare for a one-way ticket is just NZ$47.54, according to research by WhichAirline.com.Still, if it’s a dirt-cheap airfare you’re after, here are the cheapest low-cost airlines based on their average prices per route:

This is not necessarily accurate as there is no indication of the sector length for each of those fares. If I look at Firefly's fares from Singapore to Subang, it is often far more expensive than those of Tigerair and Jetstar Asia from from Singapore to KLIA/KLIA2.

I agree with KC Sim. Try booking it one or two months out for SZB-SIN, the price will be RM400-500+. Frequently much more expensive than MH itself.

Yes, it would be a better comparison if it was quoted at an average fare per km.

 

Firefly's cheapest SZB-SIN return tickets are usually around RM 280 (zero base fare) if booked around 4-5 weeks before travel.
