Recommended Posts

Guys,

I need your help on choosing the suitable photos for me to upload to A.net or JP.net.

The photos were taken by me,and Ashmil helped me out with the editing, since i'm not good in editing :(

There are 5 version of it;Which one do you think had the chance to be accepted by A.net?

It was taken using Nikon Coolpix L10 camera (P&S Camera)

Your help is really appreciated (especially the A.net photographers here)

Bro, usually the best pictures are the ones that do not require too much cropping as when you crop you tend to lose details.

Tarmizi, I'm not sure if anyone of us 'actively' in MalaysianWing is currently

a screener in a.net or jp.net (some screeners might be lurking around... B) )

so, the best way is to try to send to them and see what's their comment.

Don't worry about rejections, most of us have rejections from these two

photo hosting sites... we learn from the rejections because they'll normally

put in their reasons for rejection.

You can also do 'auditing' of your photo by reading their 'acceptance criteria',

if all are within their acceptance, I don't see why they've to reject your pix.

BTW... 9M-LLG is currently not in their database..

good luck....

Ashmil: Thanks again for the editing

BTW,I've posted the same photos at DAC,and someone mentioned that pix no.4 had the chance, because it was "sharpest, brightest and most centered".

I'll try uploading it to A.net first,and if it's rejected,then i'll try JP.net.

Wish me luck!

It might be better if you used a 3:2 ratio for this pix - you have included a lot of foreground. Norman is right - you just got to shoot as many as possible and then submit them. You should probably submit to all the aviation image hosting sites so that you get as much feedback as possible. Don't wait for A.net to reject before sending to JP.net. Send them in at the same time! :)

Well, it is rather hard to judge the thumbnail sequential pics that isn't displayed in its full resolution. They all look rather the same, so do choose the ones that is sharpest. Remember, do not send more than one of the shots or you'll get instant rejection for sending double, send only one.

One rejection doesnt mean it is not a good photo, you just need to adjust/trim/retouch it to make it acceptable to them(screeners) :good: Like Uncle Normy said, no reason to reject those, and it's not in the database.. so chances are slightly high :good:

What was the reason for rejection?

You can learn from that & improve.. :)

Ya, let us know the rejection reason(s). It may not be so difficult to correct.

Here's the rejection reason(s):

*Quality Size

*Oversharpened

Waiping, about the photo of the F50 taken by me on the day you & Sam transiting at SBW,do you think any possibility of making it to A.net?

Kindly refer to the Sierra Bravo Whiskey-2010 thread for the photos.

Mizi,

A few photos I will try to upload to A.net, based on the composition of the photos i.e. level, the whole plane in frame etc. I think cannot judge from the quality since you may need to re-edit for A.net. Try to select pictures with no people/equipment in them. Good luck.

DOnt worry, it is usual to get photo's rejected as A.net quality is very high. Try to follow based on their reasoning for rejecting your photo.

Quality - Could be that your jpg compression is higher, hence a lower quality image saved

Over sharpened - Well, obviously you sharpened it too much, so less sharpen it

Size - Maybe the photo aspect ratio size is wrong.. try adjusting it from 1.3333-1.4938, or you save it in a non standard size such as 1024, 1200, 1280, 1400, 1600 based on the given aspect ratio earlier..

PLease try again.. but after maybe the third time failing to get it, it might just be that the photo is really not good enough.. :drinks:  :good:
