flee 5 Report post Posted October 12, 2011 Very nice catches, Suzuki san - especially the Russian TU-204. We don't see many new Russian airliners these days, so it is definitely a great one to add to your collection! It was nice seeing you again and thanks for dinner and also for introducing Nagoya food to us! Arrived safely back in KUL this morning.

It was nice seeing you again and thanks for dinner and also for introducing Nagoya food to us! Arrived safely back in KUL this morning. I'm also glad to see you again in Nagoya last week Tu-204 is still parked at the apron where is far from the terminal in HND, so you could not see her I apologize to you for not taking you to the spotting point on 10 Oct because I was not able to take more time But I hope we should do spotting next time in either Japan or Malaysia

No worries Suzuki san - it was a working day and you should be working! Anyway, HND was foggy and hazy on Tuesday and I think that the next time I have intentions to spot in Japan, I will come over at a time that has better weather for spotting! You are always most welcome here in Malaysia - you should also try to go to BKI!
flee 5 Report post Posted October 13, 2011 Pardon my sloppiness for not posting any photos to MWings lately. Here's some shots I took during my recent trip to Tokyo. Thanks for sharing, kianhong! Really like the Polar Air Cargo Boeing 747-46NF - the B747 lives on carrying out service with cargo airlines. Going to have my own trip to Japan at the end of the year. I was wondering - how do you access the HND viewing area? I was at the International Terminal's viewing gallery (5th Level). Japanese airports are spotter friendly and there are even holes in the fencing for you to poke your camera's lenses through. I am not sure about what Terminals 1 and 2 can offer though, I am sure Suzuki san can fill you in. There are shuttle bus services (and Tokyo monorail) between the terminals. Junichi Suzuki 0 Report post Posted October 13, 2011 Suzuki-san. Going to have my own trip to Japan at the end of the year. I was wondering - how do you access the HND viewing area? Welcome to Japan As flee san said, an observation deck is located at the top floor in all the terminal(T1,T2 and Int'l) . There is a free shuttle bus between each terminal, every 10~15 mins. JAL, SKY and Starflyer are using T1, and ANA,AirDo and Solaseed Air are using T2. If you have more questions about HND, please send private message to me Suzuki san, I did not see the TU-204 but I managed to catch a glimpse of the ANA B787 parked at a remote stand at Terminal 2 as we were taxiing to runway 16L. No worries Suzuki san - it was a working day and you should be working! kianhong 0 Report post Posted October 14, 2011 Thanks Pieter & Francis ... It was an awesome trip. Yes, they conducted the briefing & tour in Japanese. I can read kanji so can rough guess the contents of the briefing slides. For the rest, I had to rely to YK-san to translate it for me.

Here are few more from Haneda. A couple of visitors from China. I shot this with a 35mm lens. It shows that at Haneda, wide bodies don't need expensive lenses. The kit lens is good enough.
