  1. Capt. Radzi, could be there any possible unvisible/unexpected athmospheric activity onto 28L approach track in SFO?(by changing global climate, or new activity such as microburst but without CB cloud) Seems like almost the same scenario with Asiana.
  2. "..... During the go-around procedure, and after the landing gears were retracted, the airplane descended with the result of landing at the runway with the landing gears up......" Any reason about why they landed with no gears?indicator failure, hydrolics failure, mechanical...etc.
  3. Gulp...!!!! I have to say....fantastic! loved that navigation display which is include airport layout (full) and override with EHSI. Nice captures, thanks for sharing Gavin.
  4. Azizul, thanks for picture of first flight, THY's back in KUL Sandeep, thanks very much for nice capture of this event Walter, I added a new information about Airbus in my knowledge,I didn't know that. Thanks for information. I hope you can see newest A330s or T7s in KUL apron.
  5. It's true, TC-JDK is too old lady. When the new longhaul planes arrives, probably old A340s will retire. THY ordered new 15 (plus2 options) A330-300 to Airbus last october. Also 15 777-300ER ordered to Boeing too. I think they will be replace newest one in next year one by one. You may see 333 or 773 soon.
  6. I think yes,but I can't see on flightradar24 . According by THY depature and arrival info, plane has been departed at 01:21am(local) and will be arrive to KL at schedule time (schedule 16:50local, estimated 16:27local) .Flight number TK60 /THY60 to KL and return flight TK61/THY61
  7. As the latest official news, Turkish Airlines starts direct flight to Kualalumpur at 25thApril,3 flights in a week (1-4-6). After 17thJune, increase 4flight in a week(1-3-4-6). Promotional fares begins 539euros includes taxes. Planes will be depart from Istanbul 01:15 (LMT), arrive KL at 16:50 (LMT), return flights departs from KL at 23:15(LMT) arrive to IST 05:35 (LMT). According by THY web site, A34-300 will be use on this flights. Malaysia Airlines codeshare also in use for MH flights.
  8. It seems like that as crashed before runway but reason may differemt. Amsterdam accident caused by the mostly Boeing system failure then ATC servicing mistakes and finally pilot reaction. According by "gerryairways" , takes attention to "microburst/windshare" possibility which is different from AMS accident. As result, there were 4 planes have been landed safely, pilots were awarned microburst-windshare for a long time by CRM and other training methods. They should be know about avoid to possible dangerous activities. Also this is responsibilty by air Traffic Controllers of Bali. Lion involved many serious accident last 5 years but I don't know ,if there was serious awarning by Indonesia civil Aviation safety authority. This accident may getting trouble on Lion I guess.
  9. I really don't like this livery! nothing meaning for me, tail scheme is looks like much "US patriotism". Maybe American Airlines think about employees pays instead creating new livery! American economy in "deep" still!
  10. Definitely would be because if Turkish Airlines orders also related with government+political issues. They must be keep "warm" relation with US and EU. Thatswhy Boeing and Airbus takes great pieces of Turkish airline orders. After Pegasus "fleet attack" (even be continue to deliveries until 2022) some of stones would be move. Pegasus ticket fares quiet nice in Turkey conditions and other two budget companies expecting hard days. After new planes, it means more destinations and competative fares to filling up the planes. I don't think so, other two budget companies Onurair and Atlasjet could be resist to pressure by Pegasus. Pegasus is moving on "dominant" company into Turkey and near international destinations. There is no widebody plan yet officialy but they start to fly Dubai in last months. CEO Ali Sabancı and Easyjet CEO have good relationship about avitaion, knowhow and some of supply about management. Ali Sabancı to takes as model of EasyJet on operations and logics. I don't expect PEgasus wides like as Air Asia but seems like they are start to playing as "big".
  11. Pegasus CEO Ali Sabanci said that before; "we focused Boeing in fleet, we don't think to add new model. After retire older boeing they would be replace new 737-800 soon". He always says, single type in a fleet is the most effiency about technic supply, spare part, training about engineers+pilot+cabin crews and also fleet mamangement. For a while, Pegasus has been worked with Izair airlines which was Izmir City based airlines operated A319 and then merge into Pegasus after some economic issues of Izair's. Last year Izair completly ceased but Pegasus lived some problems about supporting Airbuses. Now those planes delivery other airlines. After taking Boeing side for a long time, then ordered a serious amount Airbus order was a surprise for aviation community in here. I think probable resourse is, Boeing maybe offer too expensive price for new 737-800NGX behind the scene and it is good opportunity for Airbus about finding invest in European economic crisis.
  12. A flash news dropped to bulletin in here today. Turkish budget carrier Pegasus Airlines ordered 100 Airbus which are 75+25 option total worth of 12B$. 58planes would be 320neo and 17planes would be 321 neo total of 75 planes. Pegasus Airlines already operated 40 the most of brand new 737-800 except a few older 737-400/500 and 737-800 planes. Newest planes has been delivery brand new 7 planes (737-800) to Pegasus from Boeing,Seattle production center. source from Turkish news but here you are english version; http://www.hurriyetdailynews.com/turkish-airliner-buys-75-planes-for-12-bln.aspx?pageID=238&nID=37168&NewsCatID=345
  13. hmmm..if it is an official video by Air Malta (seems like so ), it is really unexpected video from Air Malta
  14. Turkish Airlines ordered brand new 15 777-300ER to Boeng, plus 5 more options. So they must be find some destinations. There is no official says to KLIA yet, but Kathmandu is speeches nowadays. Probably (as I said that) KLIA can be use a stopover for Australia flights thats are in planning process. This is not mean "KLIA will never be destination if Asutralia plans cancel", many competitor companies flies to Klia which are connected with Istanbul even they can't fly nonstop except MalaysianAirlines. Turkish airlines must be creat an opportunity to himself about pax counts and profitable line.
  15. Sure, as I said that, when A340s assigned to Singapore route, could be seen in KLIA. Actually there is a bad story about TK's fligt to KLIA. Once, an A310 has been approach to highway instead to rwy (comes from Singapore), crash has been prevent seconds before by tower warn. I read the event on a book which is written by former THY CEO Mr.Cem KOZLU about history of THY and his management.
  16. As far as I know, they used A310 and flight was Singapore via Kualalumpur. I don't remember A340 to KUL. Maybe for a short term before suspended to route. Probably "profit issues" to suspend reason or just only route management/company desicion.
  17. I have dicsussed one of my friend who was working as a station manager in THY about "while even flies to unknown African cities, why TK doesn't fly to KUL?". answer was very complex; first of all, need some agreement between Malaysia and Turkey about slot permission. Also Malaysia airlines is a good opportunity on this route and passanger volume is reasonable. THY won't to make a challenge with Malaysia for KUL. But there is some options for future becouse of THY is making plan to fly Australia. Even they woould be use new 777-300ER, they need a technical stop somewhere. KUL is a good option at that time but Singapore may could be acceptable option still.(for transit passangers) So, it is a big mistake to use petronas towers on the advertise, advertisement agent must be carefull about that. Nowadays THY releases new routes continent of America (both, south and north) and increase frequents. New 777-300ER orders to Boeing also dealing is continue with Airbus for new A350 instead B787 (I don't know why they don't interest B787!) . Also new A32Xneo and new B737NGX series interested by Turkish airlines future fleet scheme. I believing, if Turkish airlines continue to buy 777 and A330-300 , KUL will be add a new destination soon.
  18. ...and I'm lucky one becouse of I watched the realted movie on TV,which name is "mercy flight" ( if I'm not wrong) many years ago.
  19. Syrian artillery bullets shotdown some of villages where located close to border in Turkey side. At the last events, 5 civillian died,a mother and 4 childrens. Another artillery bullet drops down near a school. Syrian side says that "accidentally". The worst generally there is no official informaiton from Syrian side. Turkey Army artillery opens fire and hit the artillery batteries when they shoot the Turkey side "accidentally" fo a while, as "selfdefense" regulations. Turkey hasn't got any intention to interfere to Syrian homeland business and fights between groups who are Syrian goverment froces and against. Turkey accept to refugees still, they are reached more than 200.000 peoples.
  20. Very interesting US government policy! Turkish goverment/army wants to AH64 Apache at least 10 years but US congress never gives permission to sell that attact helicopters! As you know, we are fighting kurdish terrorist at the southeast Anatolia borders. there is very huge location, high altitude, extremely winter and summer conditions, high mountains.....! Border security is very important for us becouse of terrorists are comes from Iraq and Syrian borders by using deep valleys, mountains where can't steps lands. So, the best chance to defending our country, petrolling by air and helps to ground forces. Turkish army using Huey AH1P or S Cobra which are older version and newest AH-1W Supercobra which are however US congress gave the sold permission after many hidden negotiation behind the closed doors! Still AH64 Apache requests denied, also resigned from Turkish Army attack helicopter producing tender ( 150 helicopter) by some reasons thats are not convincing. 3 countries interested with Turkish Army offers; South Africa with Rooivalk, Russia with KA-50/52 Blackshark and Agusta Westlang A129 Mangusta. DEfence Ministary and Turkish Army, eleminated Rooivalk becouse of not compatible existing systems and it hasn't got much experience. KA50/52 BlackShark was very impressed and continued to challenge until the end but Russian systems was not preferable on NATO standarts. Agusta already had some relation with Turkish army and government. BEfore that TAI (Turkish Aircraft Industrie) has been joined some productions or assemble projects with Italian companies. Finally, 3-4 years ago Agusta won the offer. A129 Mangusta developed with Turkish Army requests and TAI engineering, renamed T129 ATAK (attack). Modified new engines, new avionics and new generation weapon systems compatible by national defence systems and missiles thats are producing in Turkey. ALso "knowhow " agreement has been completed and after a few production, T129 mangusta will be producing in TAI manufacture. What will be happening AH64 requests? US congress never give permission in future (many political reason). Well, we see who they are "allied" in NATO countries!
  21. I'll ask to him which camera that he used but ,I'm agree with Abdul Rahman, it should be GoPro or similar. I've a friend who is TV producer and when we go to 738 simulator for aviation program recording he is using a mini camera which has miniSD memory card. Maybe it is older version of gopro. Pieter, I know you are not missed as I said that he is flying for Dutch-Corendon.He is only Turk pilot in AMS hub, the rest of them Spanish, Irish and from Holland. After watched 2nd video I was kidding him "don't fly high, fly slowly and keep out clouds be carefull... " for about rainy, cloudly landing session. He replied me " captain who is at the last video from Spain, he has got 25000hrs. I asked him, how many times did you striked by thunder, spanish captain said that ;only two times in 25000hrs......I can't believe that, I have around 4000hrs and I'm striked by thunder 5 times in only Amsterdam while approaching!"
  22. Hi all, theese are 3 Amsterdam landing which is recorded by cockpit with stable camera. Right seated F/O is my friend, transferred from B734 to 738 recently years. enjoy ttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9zJ77geqKS4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-8t5n2plvpg http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4kCzCVs5wic
