Was at TUDM earlier....saw a big convoy of choppers my flying instructor was saying they were all choppers from US but dunno which base that came to help.....

Went spotting with Gavin and Walter today it was fun excuse the quality and size please was using a digital sony camera.... First shot of the day came from the rotation of Eva Air 747 KLM 744 departure MAS Cargo Highlight of the day The even bigger highlight of the day....Gavin with Nikkon and Cannon....Shock woi! I think that if you want to be a pilot you just got to get into it, many people have said go and do a degree its something to fall back on but why spend 4 years putting your passion on hold? Yes a degree will be a backup to your life but if you dont take a chance by getting your license youll never know what the possibilities are. I hope to enroll my self in a flying school this year get a license and hopefully get a job. My way isnt neccsarily correct it just what i think after talking to various people and visiting various forums. Just my 2 cents....

I made an enqiry with the oxford aviation school and they said the chances of getting a job in the EU for a non-EU citizen is very low because they said "Your chances of employment in Europe are low unless you have the right to immigrate. An airline cannot simply employ you because you have JAR ratings, nor can they assist you obtaining a work permit". So is the JAA license reconigzed in asia? Otherwise it be totaaly pointless going there to get a license right?

Hahaha....Now, thats an answer i was looking for. All this time i thought getting into SIA would be so presitgious and all that. But what the heck? I thought about it and said it doesnt matter as long as i will be in that cockpit of any airline. So i just popped the question to wonder how many pilots would think like that. Cheers!

What i meant was, does it matter to you that you fly for air asia or singapore airlines or any low cost airline or do you want the pride of telling anyone you work for the big jets rather then the smaller more budget airlines....

Okay. But don't you save the airline money also they dont they cover all these aspects in type rating. When you become emplyed as a first officer dont they train you for all that you have just mentioned?

Hi.I wanted to know if it is advisable to self sponsor you own licenses? Ivr read on ask captain lim forums that stated getting a job with an airline with self sposored licenses would stand a slim chance. What do you guys think about it?

well i would say no matter what the hidden cost are airport tax this tax air fare and bla bla i can only imagine it to be up to RM400-500 to manchester or elsewhere.....which is alot more cheaper then any other airline so its a good deal anyhow... MAS is about RM2 or 3k? but then again you would have no entertainment for 18 hours and you have to buy your food......but i still think its a fair deal...

I went for the carnival today MW booth was fantastic evryone coming and flying and enjoying it was great fun and i finally got to meet gavin,brennan, uncle norman ..great fun...i went for the so called show outside just took a few pictures
