You're welcome rozhan, No, Mas still retain their A330's, just that there will be no more doing maintenance check in szb. It will be done in klia mas hangar 5. They have started C check on 737 at klia since last year.

You're welcome, guys. Regarding the departure on 29th, I'm not so sure of it. It has been delayed for few times. 29th is the final delay. The 2nd delivery for MKT would be on CNY, around 18th or 19th. MKT would be the 2nd last Airbus coming to szb as the maintenance check will be move to KLIA.

Today they did test flight at 1000 morning at szb. Going to be deliver on 29th. Previously was 9m-mku and it's end of lease. The next customer would be the Vietnam Airline. The 2nd vietnam A332 would be 9m-mkt.

For a lightning strike defect on an aircraft, normally there are only 2 spots will get damaged. 1st, it will be on the spot where it been struck and 2nd would be the static wick due to high voltage was discharged.

Refer to Edwin Lau's post, Although MAS using sticker, the sticker is approved by DCA malaysia which means it's reaches the airworthy requirement by DCA. It can last very long compare than normal sticker we use on the car especially on high speed.

D-ABVS, 2nd Lufthansa 744 arrived last night. Now currently in szb mas hangar line 8. This time without football nose.

These Twin Otters were newly painted at MYY by vendor hired by FAX.

She'll be there for a month doing retrofitting. Scheduled time would be on 7th Jan, if I'm not mistaken. maybe early or late. who knows. I'm not so sure when will the next 3 coming in. So far the cabin interior has been removed. MAS engineering department now receiving 70% third party aircraft 30% own MAS aircraft due to Business Turnaround. So, there'll be lots of third party coming in. Today the Jet Airways B738, VT-JNJ, has just been delivered this morning.

It's something line borrowing the facilities. Like Berjaya air in Hangar 1 Line 3, renting the whole line. Means of Lufthansa crews are like their own engineers while the technicians are from MAS.

She's now currently in Hangar 3 Line 8, quite difficult to see her from main road. The Lufthansa crews were already there preparing for the checks. She'll be having A check + retrofit.

This lufthansa, D-BAVL, arrived around 2 pm this afternoon at SZB for check in MAS hangar, not morning, sorry....
