If MH is to suspend LHR route, it's really as good as dead. So i truly believing this route would be retained. Rather would be surprised some other destinations may be added while others may be dropped. SQ flies more destination than MH and yet they got only 14K staffs per stated in wikipedia and MH got 20K staffs... not logic.

I believe AK group, OD, and even the new Rayani Air are employing and MH could perhaps arrange jobs transfer for these employees..

A real misdeed of MH was a sex video recorded among the cabin crews, but that was many years ago. Similarly happened to CX, stewardess with a captain. But the real epic one was a QF stewardess having sex with Ralph Fiennes and got fired.

Agreed, even one steward got a Tom Cruise look or a stewardess got an Angelina Jolie look ain't supposed to simply touch customers, even a big no for the opposite sex.

In such, hope MH will use more wide body aircraft flying to HKG instead of B738.

MH really has to protect their images by not attracting anymore negative media attention. I bet something like this does happen to any airlines but to MH, it's just going to be headlines which in this case is rather unfortunate.

It's quite complicated. This may trigger a war, but i doubt it. Though EU and AU are very firm that Russia will not shrug off his accountability for this incident.

I hope Russia paid us enough of compensation for MAS's loss and tragedy.

I was flying on MH last night on an extra flight to KCH. After landed, I noticed the news of Multi Faith Prayer for MH 17. It was really emotional while watching these pictures and reading the news. Back in the flight, the crews continued to show their passion and smile while serving the passengers on board, but behind the curtain, they were totally heart broken and one big family grieving together. I told one of the stewardesses to stay strong before disembarking the plane. She was delighted.

I don't find any discounted rate on MH. Do share if you found any.

Most importantly there are passengers travelling, there are load factors. LAX route for example was cut despite the load factor was about 70%?

Hi guys, hope some light can be shed here. I was puzzled over how a flight route is being planned and determined, by ATC? by pilot? Or just stick to the ICAO approved flight route? Especially now MH 4 is being accused to fly into a war zone again at Syria while enrouting from KUL to LHR. CNN said per flightradar24 screenshot, MH was the only plane flying over Syria but there were others denying it and saying there were other planes also flying over Syria. Totally confused.
