  1. Members of Malaysian Wings, Anyone hoping over for this event in February? I shall be in town on 25th and 26th which are the public days. Feel free to PM me if anyone is heading down south. and 25th an 26th are weekend. Not sure if I can get any trade passes from the company. And as usual during this event, I hate to read the NOTAMS. Airspace closure la, bla bla bla.....and we have to carry more fuel for our arrival or wait on the ground for departure. Its OK la.......if it means MW members here can get a lot of nice aerial display pictures. LeeCH
  2. Dear Spotters, As requested by some fellow members, just wish to inform that I have 2 KUL shuttle flights in a space of two weeks. Each time operating two times per day. 24th Jan 2006 SQ 112 Arriving KUL approximately 1610LT SQ 113 Departing KUL approximately 1700LT SQ 118 Arriving KUL approximately 2055LT SQ 119 Departing KUL approximately 2145LT Same timings again on the 6th Feb 2006. We in SQ are pretty strict about on time departures. Timings should not be too far off unless Lumpur Control 123.75 slows us down on the way into 14L/32L. Dun think anyone will be around to smap smap as it is a weekday and wth the recent rain pouring day in day out, think its better u guys stay indoors and not catch a cold. Not sure if they are sending any Star Alliance up. I dont know how to find out until the day I report for flight. Cheers, LeeCH
  3. Eugene, Unfortunately SQ no longer operates any triple seven flights into SYD. I happen to operate one of the last few flights into Lapangan Terbang Raja Smith in late October 04. Remembered it was on 9V-SYE B777-300 Star Alliance and it was captured on Airliners.net that day by a fellow photographer. Why not the other way round and buzz me when u r in Republic of Sin Jia Por? Abang TK, Our Autoland certification are a little different maybe due to authority requirements. To qualify for any automatic landing certifications, a certified pilot on the fleet must have at least made 4 manual and 2 autolands. This would qualify anyone for a Cat II certificate which I have now. However Cat IIIA & B, will be automatically given after 6 months of issuance of Cat II certificate. Which I will get pretty soon. In any case any of you guys are wondering, I have only been on the fleet for 6 months or so, so me a newbie . Last but not least, our fleet certification allows us to operate any series in the fleet so far, be it a 772, 772ER or 773 (9V-SQ*, 9V-SR*, 9V-SV* or 9V-SY*). No news as to operation of 773ER yet. Looks to be different because power setting is based on N1 (GE Engines) and not EPR (RR Engines). Leech

  5. Gentleman, Many thanks for the warm welcome to MW. The truly Malaysia BOLEH! way. I actually do enjoy seeing SIN-KUL-SIN-KUL-SIN on my roster every month (a lot of my colleauges hate it). Cuz I always feel very much at home @ KLIA. I think I shall not hijack TK's thread here. I shall create a new thread on the Logbook soon and write up my personal journal and and answer questions from there. Rainy day in WSSS, Leech
  6. Hi TK, Read your postings and find it quite fascinating myself. Me from across the causeway but kampung in KL. Maybe we have met somewhere in the airports or blue yonders. U happen to operate MH134 BNE-KUL? Me in SQ 246 BNE-SIN this morning. Maybe I should start a thread like yours so as to give an insight into operations and the places and also the food we have onboard in Singapore to the rest of the Malaysian Wings members here. However me armed only with a Sony T7 camera. Hmm..... Fly safe, Leech
