Trisonic is their callsign. Trisonic 2. Trisonic 3, going around as Trisonic 2 can't enter taxiway Zulu and chute from Trisonic 1 hasn't been cleared. Don't know why was she here.

  11. A very colourful QZ's latest special livery titled "Colours of Indonesia" PK-AXD
  12. Behind the scene group picture The most important person in LBU airport, En Fikri. We were very thankful for his support during the coverage. Looking forward to more collaboration in the future.
  13. Raya Airways new 'old' 734F (9M-RZA) to replace their aging 727s. This plane was formerly flown by Japan Transocean Air (JA8597, 737-4Q3) and converted into F in Jan17. Reregistered as N122WF.
  14. Water Canon Salute video
  15. A bit more from the preparation for the water canon salute. The LBU fire department is managed by the RMAF instead of MAHB. It is kinda intersting to see the runway direction placed in the firestation garage. Malindo staffs preping the arrival touches at bay 2 while the fire department test-run their salute. All ready for the arrival
  16. Some 'behind the scene' on the coverage day. Off and on, Malaysia Airport will post some interesting topics in their official Instagram / Insta Story. Do constantly check it out. Chin, Anggar and I responded to their Insta Story below for the coverage and gotten the invitation. All logistical arrangements to LBU and back were done on our own. Met up with Chin at Mc D for beakfast/brunch/lunch while waiting for Anggar, whom arrived in MH Retro. Our morning blur, 'sotong' face. We then proceeded to meet up with the airport manager and head of security to discuss and plan out the coverage. In their notice board, their top organisation chart and Malindo inaugural notice. After intro, time for some recce and test shots.
  17. This morning. AK5135, 9M-AHR, from BKI with 164 POB, diverted here after they made a go-around at KUL. They had 45mins for fuel remaining when they landed at 0800. Thinking they might have a quick refuel, some of us waited for her departure. After a long long wait, AK9898, 9M-AJW, landed at 1130, with 6 POB. Probably at that time, we thought AHR had gone tech and this was a rescue flight. Cant imagin the passengers had to wait for 3.5 hours in the aircraft. Not long after, AK5135D departed for KUL at 1220 with 167 POB. To our surprised, AHR came out for departure as AK9897 with 3 POB not long after. It then made us wonder, what took them so long to refuel and why they need a rescue flight. Further reference later in FR24, AHR continued to BKI. Bonus. The view if AirAsia were to be based in ZSB
  18. A little picture collection from BKI. We were invited by Malaysia Airports last week, to do some spotting and showcasing BKI airport in the airside. Though the timing was short, we made use of whatever we had. Escorted by BKI MAHB staffs. There were very helpful and understood our spotting hobby. Inilah barisan kita.. When there is no traffic, profile picture / selfie time Some traffic during our short stay. Time to go back. The sun has set. A quick shot of the terminal before escorted back to side gate to return pass. Wrapping up for the day
  19. Today's spotting outcome. EK's 77W Blue Expo 2020. Iraqi has been sending their 744, YI-AQQ (ex- JAL) quite frequently to KUL. Kinda light going back to Baghdad. Retro Garuda. Bye-bye R2D2. May the force be with you Surprise to see her here. Wonder why was she here in the first place.
  20. Airbus's latest product, the A330-900neo, donning TAP Air Portugal livery (rego CS-TUA / F-WWKM), was recently in KUL (27-30 June 2018) to perform a series of route proving flights around the South East Asia and Hong Kong region. This Asia tour is part of their Type Certification program as well as to showcase to potential buyers in the region. During these four days, the aircraft flew to MNL on 27/6, CGK and DMK on 28/6 and HKG on 29/6 from the KUL base; before flying off to MRU on 30/6. We were delighted to be invited by Malaysia Airport to cover this momentus occasion. Here are some pictures of our small coverage. The invitees gathered at KLIA Guard Post 3 before proceeding to the airside office. There, we were given the mandatory safety briefing and discussed our coverage. The first two (from the left) are representing Airbus and the rest of us are invited spotters. The DOs and DONTs while being in the airside. We were being divided into two groups (runway & apron). A group 'wefie' first before going off to our positions. Weather wasn't promissing after this picture and it began to drizzle. Some test shots is a must, to get better settings and positionig before the arrival. At about 0906, she was finally here. Short video of her arrival More to come from the WET apron
  21. Special visitor from Airbus. The A330neo (F-WWKM, TAP Portugal CS-TUA) is making KUL as their base for the next few days; while undergoing route and cabin proving flights within the region. She will be flying off to CGK return on Thursday morning and BKK return in the afternoon. HKG return will be on Friday morning. On Saturday moring, she will leave KUL base and proceed to MRU.
  22. Got a bit of time to edit some recent pictures.
