  10. Argh!!! I got it all wrong on the runway assignment... Yesterday afternoon take off is on 32R, Main landing is on 32L with some sneak-in via 32R.. Just re-check the runway map from AM.com last time... Sorry guys... Ben-G
  11. NOooooooooooooo!!! Any news from the Singapore spotter group? Ben-G
  12. No prob boss, have you seen the doc? Traffic wise, generally good... however I missed CX A330 and SIA 772 landing, still driving to the weather station when this 2 fella landed. Caught my first MH744 (Pangkor) landing though. I realized 777 taxing is SOOO much quieter compared to 744. One thing I noticed, while at first they use 14R for take off and 14L for landing, at about 1730hrs I seen 3 (could be more) MH734 landed on 14R, while 14L is still being used for landing (in other words, 14R is used for both take off and landing while 14L is also being used for landing only). Is the traffic that busy that hr until they need to use 2 runway for landing? Love the Sigma 70-300 lens... Will upload images when I got home today. Ben-G
  13. eh? How come so quiet one? I think I will be at the observation hill at about 1600 hrs. Ben-G *Edited at 1.43PM* correction, weather station
  14. Azahan, Gavin suggested that afternoon got better traffic. So I might be only going there in the afternoon. Please gimme a buzz if you are heading there in the afternoon. Thanks Ben-G
  15. Hi, I planned to go KLIA tomorrow... anyone going there as well? Ben-G
  16. So, Sundays anyone going spotting? Ben-G
  17. Hi Pieter, That's my point, this design characteristic of A320 landing gear probably contirbute partly to the successful landing. Ben-G
  18. I noticed when A320's nose gear is fully extented it is slightly angled to the front instead of straight down. Probably this has contribute the extra "Oomph" it needed to withstand the sear force of such landing. Ben-G
  19. Sunday pullout editor says he have no time to persue this matter. I am waiting for my friend to take out some time to write this up. She said the best way is to do a group interview about our view of KLIA and how to improve it. Ben-G
  20. This weekend ah? I dun think I can make it on Sat, if Sun then OK. Ben-G
  21. Hope this is NOT a batch problem... Ben-G
  22. Wow... you have so much more variety compared to my trip on 31st July... that time was SIA, SIA, SIA... Love the Qantas. Hmmm.. do we have a grass landing strip in KLIA? Ben-G
  23. Wow... cool suggestions. The last few times when I boarded the plane, the first thing I do is hold up the boarding pass and ask cabin chief: Ben-G:"er.. excuse me.. the pass says Jump Seat... er.. any idea where is it?" * in the mean time peek into first class direction Cabin chief: "' So far, it hasnt worked yet.. YET!!! I am sure I will get it 1 day!!! Ben-G
  24. Sigh, just called MAS hotline. Those seat I mentioned are beside emergency exit and can only be booked upon check-in. And to get THAT seat, I have to be among the few first who check-in, which begins 6hrs before flight... so if my flight is at 8.45am... erm.. that means I need to be in airport by... 2.45am? *thud**4 paws in air* Ben-G
