Which if any airlines that fly KL - HKG ??? apart from MH & CX ?? looking at other carriers! Thanks in advance if can help. Greg
CV Thian 0 Report post Posted October 25, 2008 (edited) Hey Greg, 1. The closest hotel to KLIA would be the Pan Pacific KLIA. However, rooms can go up to about RM 450 per night. Other options include the Concorde Inn KLIA, which is located only three minutes away from the international airport with its complimentary airport transfer. Prices hover around the RM 250 mark per night. 2. In my opinion, the best way to get from the airport to the RMAF museum is by rail (KLIA Express) to KL Sentral and a cab onwards as the museum is only located about 3kms from the station. KLIA Express prices are RM70 for a return ticket per person and the cab would probably cost less than RM10. 3. Other airlines that ply the KUL-HKG route other than MH and CX include low fare airline Hong Kong Express (UO) and low cost carrier AirAsia (AK). I hope I've managed to answer your questions. Cheers! Greg Wood 3 Report post Posted October 25, 2008 Chow Vi Than, Thankyou for answering my questions. The Concorde Inn looks like it represents best value to about AUS$60 p/p per night...Thats ok and includes brekky! The muesum visit by train then cab sounds ok! How long would this take and where would you get on the train from (airport) ??? Cheers Greg
Izanee 0 Report post Posted October 25, 2008 the train from the airport takes 28 mins (if its the express) and a bit longer if its the Transit train. If you go to the main terminal building it will be clearly signposted from there. Its below the arrivals level.
Norman 1 Report post Posted October 25, 2008 The RMAF Museum is located within the Sg Besi Airbase. You can get there by cab from KL Sentral (the ERL City Station). However, you might want to get the radio cab number handy since seldom taxi plying the museum. Either that or a long walk to the main road to hail a cab. Let us know the dates...
