Lion's Kirana appointed ambassador to Malaysia

Indonesia president Joko Widodo has appointed Lion Air Group founder Rusdi Kirana as the country's ambassador to Malaysia.
The appointment took place on 18 May, along with five other individuals named as ambassadors to various countries, says Indonesia's Ministry of State Secretariat in a statement.

wont there be any conflict of interest knowing that he has interest in a malaysian corporation?

Well it is just as ambassador. Anyway, he has mentioned a few times he is done with business and wants to get into politics.

Maybe he requested this posting so that he can keep an eye on Malindo/Batik Malaysia. It is a very important airline for the Lion Group because it is their gateway to international services.
