Mohd. Helmi 0 Report post Posted July 31, 2008 Anyone know what's in store in Batam? Any places of interest? Did not hear from this place much apart from Phua Chu Kang episodes.. I've heard from Singaporeans, there are quite a few resort, golf courses and brothels, it's a place of entertainment for Singaporeans and Johoreans. Be prepared to pay in sing dollars. Kenneth T 0 Report post Posted July 31, 2008 Is Batam a viable destinations? So far, i can only remember Batan as a place where Singaporeans love to go release their sexual needs.

leon t 0 Report post Posted August 1, 2008 Let's guess how long this route will remain on. My guess, maximum 1 year. It depends - as connecting flights to other indonesian domestic flights from batam is much cheaper than ex-SIn or even ex-KUL; as batam is considered a domestic sector - in fact some people from SIN do take the ferry to batam (half hr ride) to catch domestic flights to various parts of indonesia. But it still remains whether this would be viable from KUL.

Many Singaporeans go there to do business or have their factories located over there.
