LOWEST FARE COMPARISON - SINGLE ADULT Tiger KUL-SIN Base: USD 0.00 Tax & Surcharges: USD 44.16 (MYR 154.56) Total: USD 44.16 (MYR 154.56) SIN-KUL Base: USD 0.00 Tax & Surcharges: USD 37.01 (MYR 129.54) Total: USD 37.01 (MYR 129.54) Total Return Trip: USD 81.17 (MYR 284.10) * * * * * Jetstar KUL-SIN Base: MYR 68.00 (JetSaver) Tax & Surcharges: MYR 155.00 Total: MYR 223.00 SIN-KUL Base: MYR 88.00 (JetSaver) Tax & Surcharges: MYR 154.00 Total: MYR 242.00 Total Return Trip: MYR 465.00 Looks like AirAsia is set to win the battle. I think Jetstar will not be using the LCCT based on the fares it charges (?) Have anyone got a better pricing?
H C Chai 4 Report post Posted January 7, 2008 I think Jetstar will not be using the LCCT based on the fares it charges (?) Have anyone got a better pricing? Jetstar fare ex-SIN is priced at S$0.88 each way, considerably cheaper than ex-KUL at RM68 each way. How odd!
Mushrif A 3 Report post Posted January 7, 2008 You can get Jetstar at RM1.88 fare from KUL.
Azri M. 0 Report post Posted January 7, 2008 Jetstar fare ex-SIN is priced at S$0.88 each way, considerably cheaper than ex-KUL at RM68 each way. How odd! Jetstar's sale is only applicable for SIN-KUL-SIN (not the other way around)... and have to pay by the POSB Credit Card. Tips to search for S$0.88 fares 1. The above promotion is only applicable to Singapore - Kuala Lumpur - Singapore flights. 2. Promotional fare seats may be limited; to increase your chances of obtaining our promotional fares, try to avoid weekend, public holidays and peak period travel periods. 3. Our recommendation is to travel preferably on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Saturdays, departing from Singapore. For your return journey, try to avoid traveling on Sundays & Mondays. 4. To enjoy the offer, you will need to pay via POSB Everyday MasterCard Credit Cards for bookings from now to 08 Jan. Jetstar always has trick on its sleeve.. Guest redharahmad Report post Posted January 10, 2008 (edited) AK is probably more exciting than TR anyway. Haha. Apart from the assigned seating TR offers i'll choose AK over TR anyday On the outbound...AK is cheaper at RM106 On the inbound.....TR is cheaper at SGD57 (RM130) Hence i did just that...booked AK on the outbound and TR on the inbound...yay! Okok so its just RM1 cheaper but at least i'll get to experience both budget airlines and compare KUL LCCT with SIN Budget Terminal right? Benny Zheng 0 Report post Posted January 10, 2008 Why is there a difference in tax?
Azri M. 0 Report post Posted January 11, 2008 Why is there a difference in tax? Tiger does not show the breakdown of their taxes while AK does. The airport tax for any airline going to respective terminal will always be the same. So that means, Tiger charges more in fuel surcharge and admin fees.
