That is true only from a NZ perspective. For Malaysians, that same CEO would be a foreigner.

 

To be honest, I suspect this debate about 'local' vs 'foreign' CEO is a complete waste of time. Probably some issue thrown out by the management so that the local media is able to stimulate some frenzy - and the real purpose of which is to deflect attention from the 280M quarter loss. And quite successful it has been as well.

 

Judge for yourselves whether you've read / heard more about the 280M or CEO issues in the local press / media ? It seems (sadly) a tried and tested ploy to incite racial sentiments to detract one's attention from more pressing matters.

Blaming the old management for any and every bit of fault is nothing peculiar to MH, nor to Malaysians. It is one of the pillar principals upon which modern management exists upon. We gotta show more originality ! ; )
