The weird thing was I flew SQ SIN-PEK a day or 2 after the accident and they were still handing out free newspapers (Straits Times and New Paper IIRC) both at the entrance and inflight. ST: "SIA's darkest hour" with pictures as above and more. I remember having to calm a first time flying friend of mine down... Good thing we had exceptional service on both that flight and the return flight a few days later; so it's nice to know crew morale wasn't affected much. The Celestar A340 was pretty comfy too. I don't think pax onboard with fear of flying would've appreciated it much. It's this very reason that programs depicting air crashes are not allowed on IFEs by most airlines.
