Mushrif A 3 Report post Posted August 24, 2006 And so the Sultan of Brunei was in Kemaman and he flew to KUA to get there while the PM flew to TGG. So which widebody was in KUA - the A340 or the 763? (or the 744?)

Sandeep G 1 Report post Posted August 25, 2006 Is KUA runway long enough for widebody? It is an AFB, so I would imagine for air logistics it would have to be..
Mushrif A 3 Report post Posted August 25, 2006 I've seen miltary 707s at KUA so I would think it should be able to handle a relative-light VIP-config. 762.
Fitri Shukri 0 Report post Posted August 25, 2006 I've seen miltary 707s at KUA so I would think it should be able to handle a relative-light VIP-config. 762. Oh OK. But Butterworth AFB doesn't have a longenough runway for 707. Usually widebody military especially from RAAF or RAF carrying troops to Butterworth will use PEN. Since PakLah constituency Kepala Batas is near Buttereorth, the B737BBJ is a regular here at Butterworh.
