Denny Yen 0 Report post Posted May 24, 2006 http://www.signonsandiego.com/news/world/2...irportfire.html A large fire has broken out at the cargo section of Istanbul's Ataturk airport. Three people have been injured, and air traffic has been delayed. Dozens of firefighters rushed to the scene to battle the flames engulfing Terminal C, which is some distance from the international and domestic flights terminal. Two fire-fighting planes were also aiding the effort to douse the flames. Some incoming planes were ordered to delay their landing while others were re-routed to the city's second airport on the Asian side of the Bosphorus Strait. The terminal was badly damaged, with windows blown out and part of the roof caved in.
