TSA lifts bans for Swiss knives

Recommended Posts

Also unbanned are some sports sticks, such as pool cues and hockey sticks

Meanwhile no words on the lifting of bans on your bottle of Coke you bought outside airside...

What's the rational? Is it because it would come as useful in the event that the aircraft ditches somewhere, and having the tool nearby will increase the chances of survivability for the survivals? Or it could be useful in the event that an emergency happened during flight, and a screw driver is handy in opening up some fuse panels or something..?
