flee 5 Report post Posted May 22, 2012 KUALA LUMPUR, May 22 (Bernama) -- AirAsia is withdrawing operations for its seven times a week Kuala Lumpur-Solo (Indonesia) flights effective Sept 2, 2012 as part of the airline's realignment of its business plans. "Affected guests who have booked flights on this route will be contacted by our customer service personnel to inform them about the suspension as well as the options available to them," the budget airline said in a statement today. AirAsia said guests would be offered a credit shell for the value that they paid with a validity of three months or a full refund. Guests will also be offered a complimentary change of flight from Kuala Lumpur-Solo to Yogyakarta or Semarang instead, without any additional charges for flight only. "They can also move their flights to an earlier date to or from Kuala Lumpur or Solo without any extra charges and subject to availability," it said. AirAsia said the route suspension was in line with the group's business plan to realign and strengthen its Indonesia operations. More connectivity would be allocated for routes between Kuala Lumpur and other destinations in Indonesia soon, it said. Guests can also get in touch with AirAsia via social media by simply tweeting AirAsia at twitter.com/AskAirAsia for further enquiries about this route suspension.
