Hardeep P. 0 Report post Posted July 3, 2013 Hi. So no special or new livery on the remaining B777-200ERs??? I find this very hard to believe that the remainder whether 15 or 10 B777-200ER will be on their way out so soon. MAS has not mentioned anything about widebody fleet renewal

I find this very hard to believe that the remainder whether 15 or 10 B777-200ER will be on their way out so soon. MAS has not mentioned anything about widebody fleet renewal Yes, they are now looking into ordering a batch on the new A333 HGW with 242 tons gross weight with central fuel tank. This is now being offered by Airbus to their customers. This new variant of A333 will eclipse the operation of most, if not all B772ER. It can fly Kuala Lumpur-Frankfurt with full load and extra cargo. Hardeep P. 0 Report post Posted July 4, 2013 Great. Thanks. It will be awesome to see MAS have the newer generation A330-300s but it will be better if they do get some 777-300ERs too or the newer generation 777-X.

I do also hope that they will get B77W, the problem is they would not be able to fill their B77W all year round. MAS is leapfrog-ing their fleet replacement either with A333HGW or A350 or B787. It all depends on whether MAS has enough cash to take on such big commitment.

Y. J. Foo 0 Report post Posted July 4, 2013 what about the 747-8i. order 5-6 of them and for the 3rd London daily flight when it becomes operational and Melbourne and Sydney and even LAX. ANy thoughts? MH has reiterated their intention to simplify its fleet to only a few fleet types soinstead of getting a new fleet type, they'd more likely get another few A380s if they need the capacity. Hardeep P. 0 Report post Posted July 4, 2013 I see. So fleet simplification with the A380, A330 and 737-800. sounds interesting! WHEN the 777-200ERs are pased out, I am sure Boeing will be quite keen on MAS to get the 777-x or 787.
