Foo 0 Report post Posted December 5, 2011 Air Canada Flight 31 from Tornoto To Beijing diverted to Vancouver after two Research in Motion employee who had consumed too much alcohol behaved unruly and had to be restrained. The 77W was in Anchorage's airspace when the decision to divert was made. The remaining passenger had to be put on accommodation and eventually arrived at Beijing 18 hours later than scheduled. The two employees were ordered to pay AC around USD70K, and both of them have been suspended by their employer. Cire 0 Report post Posted December 5, 2011 There's this case where the passenger actually sued the airline for not "controlling" the flow of liquor to him which he said resulted in him loosing self restrains and consequently was booted off the airplane. I think the guy/s got off loaded in Sri Lanka, or something... So, perhaps airlines should limit the flow of liquor to passengers based on some guidelines for betterment of both the airline and passengers. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
