AirAsia Bags Three Awards At Asian Excellence Recognition Awards

KUALA LUMPUR, April 6 (Bernama) -- AirAsia has won three awards at the first Asian Excellence Recognition Awards by Corporate Governance Asia.

 

The low cost airline bagged awards for the Best Investors Relations Company for Malaysia, Best Chief Executive Officer for Malaysia and Best Investor Relations Officer for Malaysia.

 

In a statement Wednesday, AirAsia said this is the fourth award the airline has picked up in 2011, after receiving Asia's Best Low Cost Cargo Carrier Award 2011 at the Aviation Award Asia, Fastest Growing Foreign Airline for Cargo Award from Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport and Asiamoney's Best Managed Company Award 2010 two months ago.

By inference, even cargo is now differentiated between 'low cost' and 'legacy'

These awards are (imo) getting more and more cheapened all and sundry dishing out accolades left, right and centre

Well I am not sure what kind of "prestige" this brings - their web site is not even updated! And the good TF did not even tweet about it. So it must not be that important!

All these awards are actually money making machines for the organization. Just like how you can buy a Datukship, you can buy an award.
