kianhong 0 Report post Posted November 23, 2013 Thank you. Well Gav, that's the best I can do else photo would be too big for the forum format. I was indeed very lucky to get so many specials in such good summer weather. Typical humid hazy summer in Tokyo was all blown away by Typhoon Man-yi on the day of my arrival. And i was blessed with clear blue sunny days during almost my entire trip. Let's continue ... 18 September 2013. Thank you for viewing. To be continued. Waiping 12 Report post Posted April 22, 2014 Hi guys, Wanted to share some photos from my spotting trip to NGO last weekend. The plane that brought me to NGO - 9M-XXQ. Former KA B-HWI
flee 5 Report post Posted April 23, 2014 Waiping, did you manage to get the Dreamlifter?
Waiping 12 Report post Posted April 24, 2014 Yes I did. Jumping the gun here. The plane was original scheduled to arrive at circa 1330 but was delayed to 1430 and then touching down at 1500. In stark contrast with the day before, the weather was really close to horrible for spotting. Perhaps it's consider common subject in NGO so nobody was spotting that day, except me. Waiping 12 Report post Posted April 27, 2014 Thanks Suzuki san, I'd also made my way to Komaki airport (NKM/RJNA) to try and catch the FDA colors. Too bad the light wasn't great then.
Waiping 12 Report post Posted April 28, 2014 I thought I post some informaiton for the benefit of others planning to get to Komaki airport. I took the train (Meitetsu line) to Nagoya station (some call it Meitetsu-Nagoya station) for 870 yen (normal ones). Express is 1200+ yen. When you arrive at Nagoya Station, you need to get out of the building and cross the street as the bus station is at the opposite. Look for a Cartier and Dior outlet and the bus stop is just there. Bus fare was 700 yen. Meitetsu "mall" also closes at 2000. Also, Komaki airport closes early, around 6.30 almost everything closes. Even the check-in counter for FDA flights. The shuttle bus service, however, still runs until just before 2100.

flee 5 Report post Posted July 28, 2014 Spotting in Nagoya NGO/RJGG The last time I visited Nagoya, I did not do any plane spotting. This trip, I got in touch with Suzuki san and we arranged to do some spotting. My main target was the B744 LCF Dreamlifter but in the days before my visit, the weather was a big concern - it rained and the light was not good. It was hazy too. So it was a good surprise to see the sunshine when we arrived at the viewing gallery! Here is some of the traffic we had ...
