kianhong 0 Report post Posted November 1, 2008 Nice coverage from the Pit Lane Walk, MIR ... My mates and I didn't wanna go as we had enough 'hangar visit' back in Jandakot. Greg, awesome shot of the F-18. Very clear belly! Here some actions from today's qualifying round and the aerial display in between. Time 10:40LT - very few spectators as most of them are still on their way from the pit lane walk at the other side of the river. 2 become 1. Started with some warbirds. Climb climb !!!! RAAF F-18 Hornet. Qualifying. RAAF's aerobatic display team - The Roulettes. Thanks for viewing. Cheers.

kianhong 0 Report post Posted November 2, 2008 Sorry to disappoint u guys. No 747, QF sent a B737-800 with new scheme as expected. I saw some disappointments in the crowds especially those parents who explained to their kids there will be a big big aircraft flying low over Perth.

kianhong 0 Report post Posted November 3, 2008 Sorry for the delay, I was pretty exhausted n 'toasted' yesterday. Here's some shot from the final day of the race. Was at Langley Park taking mostly take off n landing shots at the threshold. Enjoy! Looking across the river from Langley Park, South Perth was jam packed with peoples! Red Bull 105 ... media helicopter that fitted with a gyro stabilized HD camera shooting the race for high vantage point. A bit of side slip while taking off. Love this 'Green Goblin' of Mike Goulian. 'Bumble Bee' of Nigel Lamb Peter Besenyei's Red Bull. Hannes Arch was declared the winner of Red Bull Air Race World Champion 2008 when he qualified into the top 8, but Paul Bonhomme took home the trophy for Perth leg when HA touched an air gate which caused him a 10 sec penalty. Winner of the Perth leg of Red Bull Air Race - Paul Bonhomme. RAAF F-18 closed the event with the usual amazing fly past. When it departed, it climbed straight to 20000ft and seem to be heading towards the moon. Thanks for viewing.
